Spiritually Speaking

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (KJV)

As with a doctor, the same holds true with God, to bring about the remedy for the epidemic that was plaguing mankind, which was sin, which had infected mankind and was causing sickness and death spiritually. God’s diagnosis for the fall of man is Jesus Christ, and if you will allow Him to, He will bring about the restoration and healing available to all that would call upon the name of the Lord.

Matthew 8:16-17 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: (17) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. (KJV)

What we see in the gospel accounts, is the manifestation of Gods plan and purpose available to all mankind, and that same word which produced the desired results God intended for His people, is alive and well within you now.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (KJV)

I once heard it said that a Christian’s life is full of calamities, 99.9 percent of which never take place. How often does one allow those imaginations to run wild, following a stranger’s voice and thinking the worst? If one does not spend time in the word on a daily basis, renewing the mind with the truth, how else could one expect to walk in the victory that God intended for you to walk in?

Romans 13:11-12 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. (12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. (KJV)

For myself I spent many years in the world, asleep at the wheel spiritually, living in a dream world seeing things as I imagined they were and not what it really was. Living in fear and darkness, not able to see clearly what my purpose for being here was. Of all the answers and shortcuts I tried, and sad to say even after I accepted the Lord, it took years and years of undoing the old, to be able to walk in the newness of life, a life of victory I had never known or could have imagined. We as Christians have a choice, each and every moment of the day, we can either be a victim, or a victor, just a matter of knowing the truth, and letting that truth set you free from doubt and fear.

Luke 6:41-42 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? (42) Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. (KJV)

Take out the garbage; quit playing the blame game; greater is He that is within you, than he that is within the world. Stop blaming everyone or everything else for your own situation. Rightly divide the word of truth, which will allow you to see clearly, as well as remove the obstacles you have allowed in your walk.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (7) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV)

True humility is casting our cares upon Him and leaving them at the throne, not leaning to our own understanding, but a total trust that what God has promised, He will do.
