X-Ray Vision
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10)
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV)
Mankind has developed an x-ray machine so
that they could look beyond the outward and see within to find the answer
to what was ailing him. This machine could point out and detect many
problems, and identify the inner workings of the body. Without this device
many would remain in the state they were in, or even get worse some to the
point of death. With use of this device the physician could look within and
correctly identify and diagnose what was needed and give an accurate
complete account of what was happening within. Spiritually the same thing
happened some two thousand years ago, mankind was in a fallen state of sin
and stuck in the realm of the flesh, unable to access the Lord. Once the
Son was sent on our behalf God poured out His spirit upon all flesh so that
they could see and be born into the realm of the Spirit, looking within to
find the answer. Are you able to see God’s plan of salvation for yourself, the
spiritual diagnosis that brings life, or are you still like those that
before the advent of x-ray machines it was hit or miss, mostly missing the
correct answer?
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at
the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the
things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are
eternal. (KJV)
Many today still see Jesus the man; like
the other day I saw a bumper sticker that said ‘my boss is a Jewish
carpenter’. Unto us a child Jesus was born, but unto us also was a Son
given so that we could be partakers of His divine nature, no longer stuck
in a fallen one but one of a new life in Christ, the rock that God’s church
is founded on. When you look at the word of God are you able to see beyond
the flesh and into the realm of the Spirit also; you know, like with the x-ray
machines that are able to identify the inner workings and enable the
correct diagnosis, or are you like the many that stay in the realm of the
flesh and end up perishing in it as well?
Luke 2:25-30 And, behold, there was a man
in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout,
waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. (26)
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see
death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. (27) And he came by the Spirit
into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for
him after the custom of the law, (28) Then took he him up in his arms, and
blessed God, and said, (29) Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in
peace, according to thy word: (30) For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, (KJV)
Have you noticed what was revealed to
those that were led by the Holy Spirit? While everyone else just saw a
couple with a new born child, this man Simeon was able to see beyond the
flesh and into the realm of the Spirit, and when looking within he saw
Christ. When you study the scriptures do you see Christ as well, allowing
God to reveal Himself to you personally, or will you be like the others in
the temple who ignore the inward and just concentrate on the temporal, or
outward? Jesus of Nazareth was a man led by the Spirit of Christ with Him,
and if any man has not a working knowledge of who they are in Christ then
they are none of His, or should I say a part of His family.
2 Corinthians 5:16-18 Wherefore
henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ
after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new. (18) And all things are of God, who hath
reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry
of reconciliation; (KJV)
Remember, God is a spirit and those that
desire to worship Him must do so in Spirit and in truth. We should no
longer be looking and trying to understand God according to the flesh and
its limited mindset, but rather now it is time to tap into the unlimited
realm of the Spirit, having the mind of Christ where now all things are
possible to those that believe in His name. It is when you are in Christ,
seated in the heavenly realm and letting Him reveal Himself to you
personally that you are a new creation, and old things, old thoughts,
fears, doubts, and confusion is done away, and all things become new.
Ephesians 2:13-16 But now in Christ Jesus
ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (14) For
he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle
wall of partition between us; (15) Having abolished in his flesh the
enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make
in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might
reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity
thereby: (KJV)
Here is your reconciliation which is only
found in Christ, the peace that comes from knowing Him and no longer
operating according to the flesh and the carnal mind which is what is at enmity
with God. It took the Spirit of Christ bearing witness to Jesus of Nazareth
so that of these two could be made one new man. It takes the Spirit of
Christ bearing witness unto you; and for you to take the time to hear the
message so that you can be likeminded and of one accord with God as well;
so that you can have peace with Him and one new man can manifest within you
also. So who do you pattern your life after; the outward man, or the new
creation within (Christ in you our only hope of glory)?
Acts 2:31-36 He seeing this before spake
of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither
his flesh did see corruption. (32) This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof
we all are witnesses. (33) Therefore being by the right hand of God
exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost,
he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. (34) For David is not
ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my
Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, (35) Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
(36) Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath
made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. (KJV)
You know, there was more to this man
Jesus than just the outward, but rather just like with the people in the
temple, the Holy Spirit is pointing and leading those as He did with Simeon
to a deeper insight into the mystery of the gospel, that being the inner
new man within. Just like with the x-ray machines, are the eyes of your
understanding enlightened to the things of the Spirit so that you can see
within and identify the truth that is hidden to the outward man?
