Welcome To The Family
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally
yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And
what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth
with an infidel? (16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my
people. (17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith
the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (18) And
will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the
Lord Almighty. (KJV)
Many times I hear people make the
comment, as I have in the past, wondering ‘why God doesn’t seem to respond
to my prayers or He just doesn’t really care does He?’ The truth is that it’s
not that God doesn’t or hasn’t responded, which He did some two thousand
years ago when He sent His Son on our behalf, but rather the response He is
waiting for is on our end. God’s realm is spiritual, and so are His people
that respond to Him in Spirit and in truth. So while you may think that
your prayers are going unheard, the reality is that we are the ones that
need to be taking that step of faith into His realm, and then He responds
accordingly. You have been adopted into the family of God, so for you to
operate in His realm you need to step out of the old and into the new. Many
times people come to the Lord and step into an organization that claims to
be of God, but end up back in bondage again because many of these religions
of man promise liberty when they in fact are still the servants of corruption. So before you go questioning God and His
authority, wondering why He hasn’t responded to you, the real answer is ‘why
haven’t you responded to Him, drawing nigh unto Him and then He draws nigh
unto you’.
1 John 3:1-3 Behold, what manner of love
the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (2) Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall
see him as he is. (3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is pure. (KJV)
Today, this moment, we have been adopted
into the family of God which is spiritual, contrary to the world and those
that are of it. The finalization of our adoption will take place someday
when we are accepted of the Lord into His eternal realm and then it is
complete. For today you are considered one of His, having accepted the
family name which is Christ so that you can receive His reward of adoption,
that being blessed with all spiritual blessings which are in Christ so that
you can be seated with Him and hear His message of love and deliverance
from this present evil world. However, many times people do get saved and
delivered for a season only to fall back into the fallen realm of the world;
many times by religions and doctrines of man that promise liberty but
deliver corruption. It is very important that you keep your spiritual eyes
and ears open, letting the peace of God rule in your walk so that you can
keep your adoption papers intact knowing that your name is still written in
the Lamb’s book of life. For those that have been adopted into the family
only to turn away back to the world and its ways will find out that if they
have erased the Lord from their lives then their names also will be blotted
out of His book of life which makes them illegitimate. So today, our
priority should be to hear God’s message of faith being delivered through
His Son Jesus Christ so that we know our names and our place is still
intact with Him and that if our lives ended today we have a written
guaranteed reservation for all eternity.
Galatians 4:4-7 But when the fulness of
the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the
law, (5) To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the
adoption of sons. (6) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the
Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (7) Wherefore
thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God
through Christ. (KJV)
What a loving gesture to see and behold
when people reach out and adopt a child, especially someone that was
brought up in an unhealthy environment, one that would have led to their
death had someone not intervened and adopted them. What a gesture of love
that has been bestowed upon us as well, even when we were sinners and
enemies with God; that He would send His Son on our behalf so that we could
be ransomed back into fellowship with Him and are now considered one of the
family. With many of these children when being brought up in the adoption
it is vital that they conform to rules and regulations of the family so
that they don’t end up being deported back to the country they came from
and end up in a deadly situation again. You are a child of God, you need to
act like one of His and follow His word and path if you wish to remain in
good standing with Him, or you may end up deported and back in the fallen
realm of death and separation as well. So don’t neglect or take for granted
all that has been done on your behalf so that you could have access to this
adoption and stay in good standing with your Father in heaven.
Galatians 3:23-26 But before faith came,
we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards
be revealed. (24) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (25) But after that faith is
come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (26) For ye are all the
children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (KJV)
As we see again it is not the law or the
works of it that got us adopted, but rather faith in what Jesus Christ has
done on our behalf that gave us access into His realm. It was a simple
faith in what Jesus Christ has done for you, not what you think you can do,
that got you into this realm of adoption and will keep your adoption
intact.
Galatians 3:27-29 For as many of you as
have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (28) There is neither
Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor
female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (29) And if ye be Christ's,
then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (KJV)
By the way, leave your earthly family
names or physical heritage at the door, because it has nothing to do with
your adoption and entrance into the kingdom of God. Once you shed your own
righteousness, which is described as a filthy garment, you are given a new
robe of righteousness which is only found in Christ and your belief in what
He has done on your behalf. So welcome to the family of God, stick around,
because this is the only family where you will find the true love of God
which will last for an eternity.
