State Of Denial

Romans 3:3-4 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? (4) God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. (KJV)

Why would Paul make a statement like this? Well quite frankly he found out that the deeper he got into the truth, the mystery of the gospel, the more it contradicted many he had associated with and looked up to in his past. In fact, he became so rooted and grounded in the truth that was revealed to him personally that he knew for a fact that only God was true and every man is a liar until they come into agreement with Him. Some day God is going to ask each and every individual that ever came into this realm to give account of themselves before Him, which if it is not based on truth, His truth and plan of salvation, then they will be denied access into His eternal realm. Are you grounded enough to know for yourself today that God is true and so is His word no matter who or how many say different, even those that we may have looked up to in the past or were close to as well?

1 John 2:21-23 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (23) Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (KJV)

Williams New Testament translation of 1John 2:21-23

21. I do not write to you because you do not know it, but because you do know it. 22. Who is the notorious liar, if it is not the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  He is the real Antichrist, the man who disowns the Father and the Son. 23. No one who disowns the Son can have the Father.  Whoever owns the Son has the Father too.

I hear and have heard throughout the years many messages preached which place the emphasis on Jesus the man but they leave out or deny Christ, the Son of God which dwelt within him. Many prayers end with the name of Jesus but they leave out Christ, which as I read in the above verses would make them antichrist, or liars. The Father and the Son are a package deal; you can’t have one without the other, it’s the order God put in place. So for anyone to change or alter that order it would put them in the category of a liar or in a state of denial which has them on the outside and not the inside.

Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

Strong’s definition for ‘deny’:

720  arneomai (ar-neh'-om-ahee); perhaps from 1 (as a negative particle) and the middle voice of 4483; to contradict, i.e. disavow, reject, abnegate: KJV-- deny, refuse.

Remember in Matthew 16:16, the answer Peter gave when the Lord asked ‘who do men say that I am’, then He asked ‘who do you say that I am’? Peter was able to give a response based on truth; that which was revealed personally to him. Many people knew Jesus of Nazareth the son of carpenter with Mary being his mother, but few knew the hidden man within him, that being Christ the Son of God; the same Spirit that was within him is within you as well. Knowing who Christ is and allowing God to reveal His doctrine to you is what will be the liberating truth that will set you free, while anything else will keep you within the realm of the flesh, a realm where it is impossible to please God.

2 Timothy 2:10-12 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (11) It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: (12) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: (KJV)

You know that old saying ‘What goes around comes around’? Well that is based on the premise that what we sow is what we are going to reap. If you wish to access a God of truth and abide in His kingdom then it can only be done in truth, a truth which is in Christ, our one mediator. God is a spirit and is now seeking those that will worship and serve Him in spirit based on His truth, which although many have applied for the position, few are chosen.

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV)

Your calling, your invitation to eternal life is not based on the fact that your daddy is a preacher and that your family name is so prominent in the community, but rather it is based on your response to the word of God and His truth. It is solely based on your ability to hear the message of God being delivered by Christ, His Son and our mediator, so that you can hear for yourself the truth of God, letting Him be true and man the liar. If you are not willing to receive His message of truth for yourself then you are denying Him and His power, which will then make you weak and falling for a lie, no matter who or how it manifests.

1 John 2:18-20 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (20) But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (KJV)

Remember that many have been called of God but few are chosen. So looking at the above verses we see that many have fallen for a lie and again denying the Holy One of Israel, basically crucifying Him all over again. Many have rejected the truth God delivered to His people, and He is still willing to give to those that are willing to receive it, but rather than give ear to the Holy One within them so that they could know all things they are falling for the lie which the many are teaching. Will you give ear to the Holy One, the One Lord, the one message of faith that is based on His truth, or will you remain in a state of denial, a place that will leave you on the outside because you chose to leave the truth without as well?
