Knowledge

1 Timothy 2:4-5 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV)

Did you know that there are actually people that get saved and walk with the Lord for a season but fall away because they never come to a working knowledge of God and His plan of salvation? Some get saved at some emotional religious service, you know when the organ music is playing softly, every eye is closed, and the hand goes up for the altar call, but in the end they thought that once saved was always saved, and there wasn’t any need for further instruction except to show up at a building every Sunday. Whether one wants to believe it or not, that person you wanted to get saved or even yourself, need to realize that your rebirth into the new realm of the Spirit is just the beginning. But sad to say for some it is the beginning of the end as well because they choose not to pursue spiritual things but rather fall back into the realm of the flesh again.

Strong’s definition for ‘knowledge’:

1922  epignosis (ep-ig'-no-sis); from 1921; recognition, i.e. (by implication) full discernment, acknowledgement: KJV-- (ac-) knowledge (-ing, -ment).

Yeah, yeah, yeah, one mediator, simple, Jesus, so what, can we move on to something more exciting. So simple, yet so missed actually. While I hear so many talk of a man named Jesus, so few have a working knowledge and I say working, something that actually gets results of who they are in Christ, you know, that hidden man that worked in Jesus of Nazareth is desiring to work in you as well. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, yet did you ever wonder why the enemy of God is described as antichrist? Many acknowledge the man that walked this planet and their knowledge is one after the flesh, but few go within the realm of the Spirit to see what is beyond the veil of the flesh and located at the right hand of God ready to give us a personal message straight from the Father Himself.

Hosea 4:6-7 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (7) As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. (KJV)

Pay close attention to the first word in Hosea, ‘My’, because history has a tendency to repeat itself for those that don’t know the truth, the only truth that will set them free. Case in point; after watching a local program last night concerning a bunch of religious people who were organizing a prayer vigil (one which involved of all things, people of all faiths), immediately for me red flags were up and flying. The Bible is crystal clear on the fact that it is one Lord and only one faith, which needs to be according to His word based on hearing the voice of God that will allow one access to His kingdom; while anything less will get rejected. So while the people organizing this mess were all giddy and excited, one has to wonder how effectual these so called prayers will be when they have already contradicted the word of God by their so called ‘faiths’. Remember what the Lord said would happen to those that add to His word as well as take away from it? Without a working knowledge of Christ many in essence end up doing both, leaving them rejected and unapproved of God.

Philippians 3:8-9 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, (9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: (KJV)

Ever wonder why Paul suffered so much opposition? Keep in mind that it was the enemy influencing the people because Paul had chosen the knowledge of Christ which far excelled anything or anyone else he had dealt with before. Whose mind are you operating in today; is it your limited carnal one that is bound by sight, or is it the unlimited mind of Christ which is renewed daily to see and understand the things of His unlimited unending realm to those that choose to continue and endure to the end?

Ephesians 3:3-5 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4) Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV)

When you really think about it, Jesus of Nazareth wasn’t much of a mystery at all, heck all the townspeople knew he was the son of Joseph a carpenter, Mary his mother as well as brothers and sisters, quite common. The mystery is in the realm of the Spirit and few come to a working knowledge of Christ, the hidden man within that was leading and guiding this man on the path of life. This mystery, something hidden from the carnal man but readily revealed to the spiritual man, is a vital life giving knowledge from above that is needed for each and every believer if they truly desire to make it to the end and do those things that are pleasing to God. So before you get all giddy and jump up and down because someone answered an altar call at your organization, be assured they need to answer an altar call in the realm of the Spirit before there will be any real growth and enlightenment, substance to their salvation.

Colossians 2:2-4 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. (KJV)

You know, when going through your Bible you may want to take note of the fact that when we see the word knowledge and mystery, we see it is only made available through Christ, a spiritual knowledge. When you see the word ‘all’ we have now tapped into a source from above to give enlightenment to the things of the Spirit, the complete package which makes the people complete in Christ.

Isaiah 5:13-14 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. (14) Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (KJV)

Many are called, few are chosen, because few choose spiritual over carnal. Unless one is born again they cannot see into the realm of the Spirit; but do keep in mind that is just the beginning not the ending as so many think and teach. I don’t care if you got saved and had an experience with our Lord that got you into His realm, now it is vital to stay there and walk according to His knowledge and not your own any more. The question for today is ‘have you come to a personal working knowledge of who you are in Christ, or are you following man’s limited scripted versions of what they think is salvation’?
