Know The Truth

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

Haven’t you heard enough lies and fabrications in your life that when the truth is available you just want to grab hold of it and not let go? For myself I know that I have lived in fear and darkness in the past, not knowing the answer to God’s plan of salvation, something that was made available and yet hidden by my carnal reasoning. Jesus Christ is the only way established by the truth that brings life to our spirit, while anything else just gives a temporal emotional high which always comes crashing down in the form of reality of God’s word and not man’s.

John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; (32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV)

When it comes to worldly things you can sometimes guess and get away with it, however when it comes to your eternal salvation, why not know for sure? The truth is available to any and all that would call upon the name of the Lord, that being Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father ready, willing, and able to deliver to you a personal message. For many salvation seems to be a hit or miss thing, something that happens once in a while, like throwing dice at a casino. For those that become rooted and grounded in the word of God they find their comfort and peace by going to the source for themselves rather than settling for second hand information. So where is this truth located and how do we access it?

Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, (KJV)

Paul found the truth in Christ by allowing His spirit to bear witness with his so that he could deliver the message of truth, thus the reason he had so much opposition as well. Who are you bearing witness with today and is it coming from above, or are you still settling for something below hoping it will work? We all need to know, not just guess for ourselves that the voice we hear and trust in is from God so that we don’t end up running or laboring in vain. If any man be in Christ he is a new creation, and all the old fears and doubts of the past are done away and we are able to walk in the liberty God intended for us.

Galatians 1:10-12 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (11) But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. (12) For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (KJV)

How personal is the message of salvation to you? Is it something you know for fact, or are you still holding to man’s version (which God says every man is a liar until they know and come into agreement with Him)? You desire a personal relationship with the Father? Then it can only come through Christ and the revelation of Him.

Strong’s definition for ‘certify’:

1107  gnorizo (gno-rid'-zo); from a derivative of 1097; to make known; subjectively, to know: KJV-- certify, declare, make known, give to understand, do to wit, wot.

When mankind needs a document certified they go to a public notary to have it stamped and approved. When you desire to have right standing with God you need His stamp of approval also, which is only found in Christ. Knowing and not guessing is so vital to each and every believer, because the more you know who you are in Christ the more your lower, doubting, fearful old nature will decrease and be done away with.

1 John 5:9-11 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (KJV)

Want something greater in life; your walk with the Lord; then why not go to a greater source to find it? With all that is available in Christ why not take the time to hear His message of faith and love and eliminate all the fear and doubt you have been living in for far to long. Greater is He (that being Christ in you), then anyone or anything in the world that would lie and tell you different, no matter who or how it manifests. The more you hold God to be true and man the liar the more confident, bold, and assured you will be in His plan of salvation so that you can know and not guess or suppose you are one of His.

1 Timothy 2:5-7 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (7) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. (KJV)

Where did our beloved Paul the apostle find truth? Well quite simply the same place you will if you are willing to look to the source of truth, the One that will let you know you are one of His. Do you know how to get through to God so that He can get through to you?

Strong’s definition for ‘verity’:

225  aletheia (al-ay'-thi-a); from 227; truth: KJV-- true, X truly, truth, verity.

Go embrace the truth so that it can embrace you. Knowing who you are in Christ will eliminate any doubts and fears that associate with the lie. Know the truth, because truly it is something to cherish, a gift for all eternity.
