A Real Eye Opener

Ephesians 1:17-19 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (19) And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (KJV)

God has poured out His Spirit upon all flesh; now the question is, ‘how many are receiving it?’ The ability to operate in the wisdom of God, having knowledge of Him is available to all; but how many, or should I say are you seeking it first and foremost as a priority, or is it a last ditch effort that you only look into after you get yourself into a jam? Now that your spiritual eyesight has been opened and enlightened to this spiritual realm, are you seeking it more and more as you grow up into Him, and are you walking more in the Spirit and less in the flesh?

Proverbs 4:18-21 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (19) The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (20) My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. (21) Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. (KJV)

Is God’s plan of salvation becoming clearer and clearer on a daily basis, and you are able to see and know that the path you are on is truly one ordained of our Lord? The more you walk in the realm of the Spirit the more enlightened you are to the things of God, knowing and discerning the difference between what is good and what is evil. Do not be a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the Word as well; not letting the things of God get out of your sight, but rather keeping a close watch over all the spiritual blessings we have been blessed with in heavenly places in Christ.

Matthew 6:31-33 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)

You know, the world has things backwards because of its limited tunnel vision; their affection is set on the things of this life which keep them blinded from the things of the eternal one. You as a believer in Christ need not be so concerned with the things of this world because your heavenly Father knows you have need of them; after all He is the Creator isn’t He? You wouldn’t forget your own children, so what makes you think Our Lord has forgotten you? The point is with all that is available to those in Christ, an unlimited realm of wisdom and knowledge in Him, quit spending and wasting so much time pursuing things that draw you away from God and not closer to Him; a closer more intimate relationship with Him to see all that He has blessed you with in the spiritual realm. This order does work, seeking Him first, then everything else that is needed is provided; it is a done deal, remember we serve a God who cannot lie. So quit giving ear to the lie and give more attention to the truth if you truly desire to be set free and walk in the realm of the Spirit.

Revelation 3:15-18 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (KJV)

Here is a real eye opener; while you were chasing after the loot of this world the devil came into your house and robbed you blind, basically he looted you. Have you ever wondered what the true meaning of lukewarm is? Well it is simply described as  those that claim to be of God but spend more time pursuing the things of this world, which is also described in the book of James as adulterers. You want something with real substance, then how about some Spiritual gold, a Gem that allows us who were poor in the past to be rich in faith.  The eyes of your understanding have been enlightened to the realm of the Spirit so that you could partake of all the true riches of wisdom and knowledge, which is in Christ and not found in this fallen realm. So when you look around, or flip on the religious channels and listen to all their phony hundredfold return messages which always involve money or I should say the love of it, then you will truly see where their treasure is.

Deuteronomy 8:11-14 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: (12) Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; (13) And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; (14) Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; (KJV)

The will of God is to deliver you from this present evil world, not keep you in bondage to it, or try to mix and match physical things with spiritual ones. The reason God sent His Son is so that the fellowship between us and Him could be restored, giving us access into His eternal realm. So what have you done with this Spirit of truth that was given to you, to lead and guide you into all truth? Are you seeking the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul, or are you double minded, still clinging to the things of this life? As we see in the above verses, those that had been enlightened to the things of God forgot their source and decided they could handle things fine without His help any more. So those that at one time were enlightened, are now blind and heading into a ditch they didn’t see coming.

Romans 1:18-22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (KJV)

As we see, or should be seeing clearly, is that there is no excuse for mankind because God has provided everything needed to walk in the Spirit and to no longer be blinded by the things of the flesh. The things of God are a real eye opener, and one that will last for eternity for those that choose to walk in His realm and let the light of His glorious gospel shine unto them more and more. It will also be a real eye opener to those that have walked in the light only to return to darkness and find out that in the end they closed their eyes to the truth.
