The Bear Essentials

John 8:15-18 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. (16) And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. (17) It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. (18) I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. (KJV)

Strong’s definition for ‘beareth’:

3140  martureo (mar-too-reh'-o); from 3144; to be witness, i.e. testify (literally or figuratively): KJV-- charge, give [evidence], bear record, have (obtain, of) good (honest) report, be well reported of, testify, give (have) testimony, (be, bear, give, obtain) witness.

So who and what are you bearing or giving evidence to, and is your source a reliable one? The evidence that you are providing needs to be coming first hand from your Father in heaven so that what is presented is in Spirit and according to His truth. As we see illustrated above, Jesus Christ knew His calling, as well as the fact that the doctrine He taught came from above, and not some second hand watered down version from below here. When you speak and share the Word with others, do you know that first of all it is your Father in heaven that sent you there, and it is then that you are able to deliver His message?

Romans 8:15-17 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (KJV)

Do you know today, right now, that you are in the place that our Lord would have you to be so that His Spirit can bring a credible witness to your spirit? Given the fact that our eternal salvation is based on the fact that you need to hear this for yourself, it is vital to say the least. In a courtroom the first thing that they do is seek those that were eyewitnesses to what took place; then they are expected to testify in truth. Your faith goes on trial every day; so are you giving a firsthand account of what is taking place in the realm of the Spirit, or will your case be thrown out for lack of evidence?

Proverbs 25:18-19 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow. (19) Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint. (KJV)

If you notice, all the things that result from a false witness is negative, and will cause injury as well as death. Your Bible tells you that there are many false prophets out and about bearing witness and giving out false information concerning the kingdom of God. So who and what are you giving testimony to, is it coming from a reliable source like one who is seated next to our Father in heaven, or is it coming from the father of lies?

Proverbs 21:28 A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly. (KJV)

God’s own people perish for lack of knowledge; a Spiritual knowledge that is available to His people today, right now through Christ, so that we can give testimony to the bear essentials of salvation.
