Put In Your Place
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my Father's house
are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may
be also. (KJV)
Now while many people look at the above
verses thinking about a place in heaven, something that they think is going
to take place after they leave this realm, the truth is that our Lord
prepared a place for you to be in today, right now. Our Lord raised us up
as well, and has allowed us Spiritually to sit with Him in a heavenly place
so that we could hear His personal message of faith of where He would have
us to operate in His body of believers.
Romans 12:3-5 For I say, through the
grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of
himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according
as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (4) For as we have
many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: (5) So
we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of
another. (KJV)
One of the definitions of the word ‘office’
is function; a place where our Lord determined that you would function the
best. Now if you were going to go to work for a corporation, you would
notice that the employees have their own office space with their own duties
and tasks that they need to perform according to their abilities. Our Lord
doesn’t want you to try to impersonate or be someone that you are not, but He
called and accepted you for who you are, a unique, precious, creation in
Christ. Do you know your calling, and the place that our Lord decided for
you to operate in His body, or do you sense that you are not in the place that
He would have you to be in today?
2 Timothy 2:3-5 Thou therefore endure
hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (4) No man that warreth
entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him
who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (5) And if a man also strive for
masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (KJV)
Oh and by the way, as you go through your
Bible you will see that those that God has chosen and have found their
place in His body of believers carrying out their calling, yeah along with
the approval of God will come the disapproval of man and their fallen ways.
In order to truly please our Lord you will have to let the word of God,
which is described as being sharper than any two edged sword, cut off the
hindrances and the snares of this world that are holding you back. It takes
a Spiritual sword to cut spiritual strongholds loose, which then allows you
to take your place in His body of believers.
Ephesians 4:11-15 And he gave some,
apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (14)
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (15) But speaking the
truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ: (KJV)
Folks, your calling and election are Spiritual
and so are those that answer our Lord’s calling. Those that know their
place in the body are able to teach and build up others, showing them how
to grow and mature in the realm of the Spirit. So Church, today, put away
childish things and thoughts; grow up and let the Lord put you in your
place.
