Grace or Religion

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (KJV)

Grace, God’s unmerited favor was not something that you earned, it is not something that you can buy, but rather it is a free gift given to all, so that any who would call upon the Lord would be saved. Hey, come on really, haven’t you had enough religion; you know, all that outward stuff and rituals, things that may impress man but does nothing to further your walk in the Spirit? I know I have; and personally anything I have attempted to do on my own, even after my conversion in Christ ended up to be a dead end, a brick wall. The grace of God has mapped out a path for you to walk on, one that God saw for you personally, a path that leads to eternal life. Yet with that in mind, and I pray a renewed one in Christ, why are so many walking according to their works and not the works that our Lord ordained? Dead religious works, which in reality doesn’t work people!

Romans 9:14-16 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. (15) For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (16) So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. (KJV)

So does God play favorites, you know like man does? Not at all; in fact our Lord’s desire is that none of us would perish, but all would come to repentance. So I don’t care how much of a zeal you have for God, if it is not according to His grace and mercy, the path that He ordained for you to walk on, then your life here will be a waste of time, followed by an eternity to ponder ‘what could have been if only I had known grace apart from my own works’. God is no respecter of persons, His plan of salvation is simple, now you need to establish a personal relationship so that you can know for yourself and eliminate any doubts or fear. A perfect love for our Lord will cast out all fear, while anything else, like man’s religions will keep one in the dark, blinded by a spiritual veil covering their heart.

Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (21) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV)

The sad reality for many people, religious people I should say, is that someday they will stand before God and see all that was available to them through the gift of His Son. The frustration of seeing mankind reject the grace given to them will be eternal for those that chose any other way that did not involve the grace of God, what they thought would bring life was actually dead works in vain.

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV)

You have access into this grace by faith through the one mediator between God and us, that man being Jesus Christ. Find out for yourself how salvation really works, instead of the cheap lifeless dead end vain religious works that man tries to pawn off as the real deal. God graciously gave us the gift of life through His Son, now will you graciously accept this gift and treat it with the respect and honor it is due?

2 Timothy 1:9-10 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: (KJV)

It’s a given, have you got it? There is a big difference between grace and religion, my prayer is that you find it out before it is too late.
