A Belly Full
John 6:26-27 Jesus answered them and
said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the
miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. (27) Labour
not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto
everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath
God the Father sealed. (KJV)
You know, only one bread, one food source,
is going to last and sustain one for all eternity, do you know which one
that is? Obviously many are not aware of the true bread from heaven,
because just like we see illustrated above, for many back then as there is today,
the Lord was more of a carnal meal ticket rather than their Spiritual
ticket to heaven. So what is your motive today for serving our Lord, was it
to get a belly full of the carnal, or were you looking for something
deeper, something long lasting that would fill the heart?
Proverbs 27:20 Hell and destruction are
never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. (KJV)
There is no peace and contentment in the
outward realm, no matter how much mankind strives and tries to fill that
inner void, it will never be accomplished with outward things. If one
listens too many of the popular doctrines of mankind, one will hear that
they are more interested in getting a belly full rather than feeding the
flock of God, they fleece them instead.
Williams New Testament translation
2Peter 2:18-19
18. For by uttering arrogant nonsense,
through base desires of the lower nature, they entice into immorality men
who are just escaping from those who live in error, 19. promising them
freedom, though they are slaves of destruction themselves; for a man is the
slave of anything that conquers him.
These get rich schemes of man are nothing
more than a cheap hoax, promising people freedom and liberty in a realm
where it is not possible. What was intended to bring deliverance from this
present evil world ends up putting the people deeper into bondage and
destruction, looking for an outward answer that they think will satisfy an
inward hunger.
1 Timothy 6:5-7 Perverse disputings of
men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
godliness: from such withdraw thyself. (6) But godliness with contentment is
great gain. (7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain
we can carry nothing out. (KJV)
If you are in a place where you are not
getting fed, or should I say you have gotten a belly full of doctrines that
are aimed more towards the outward realm rather than the inward, it would
do you best to move on, say back to your own prayer closet and establish a
personal relationship with our Lord, so that you no longer have to hear man’s
perverted second-hand-me-down doctrines that will not hold up come the day
of judgment.
2 Timothy 3:1-4 This know also, that in
the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of
their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers,
false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (KJV)
The Lord tells us clearly what is taking
place in these last days and what has happened to the many that were called
of God and yet only a few are chosen. Many are ignoring the truth, feeding
themselves with lies and deceptions, and though they may look good and
sound good in the outward realm, inwardly they are empty coffins.
Amos 8:11-12 Behold, the days come, saith
the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (12) And they
shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they
shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (KJV)
It would do you well to get to know the
Lord personally for yourself, and establish a relationship with Him one on
one, because as you see you are not going to find much support out there in
this fallen world. Have you gotten a belly full yet of man’s religions and
empty doctrines and promises? I sure have, and I am fed up with the
deceptions and lies, all the denominational fast food doctrines being
peddled as the real deal. That fast food place that you drive by may smell
good and taste good, but Spiritually it is junk food that will shut down
the body and lead to death. God bless and go get fed with the pure word of
God which is able to build you up and give you the confidence and assurance
of knowing who you are in Christ.
