Saw Their Faith
Matthew 9:2-3 And, behold, they brought
to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their
faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be
forgiven thee. (3) And, behold, certain of the scribes said within
themselves, This man blasphemeth. (KJV)
If you notice the Lord was able to see
their faith, oh not just the man on the bed, but their faith, those who
helped bring this man to the Lord as well. Take notice of this fact; that
as soon as one steps out in faith, yeah right away the enemy usually shows
up as we see manifested in verse 3, and will try to discourage us from
receiving from the Lord. So what is the Lord seeing in your life today, and
is there some faith and belief in what He is able to do, and are you
walking on the path that will get you those results as well?
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto
Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature;
because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man
looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. (KJV)
You don’t have to have some big following
in order to be blessed of our Lord let alone anything else in the outward
that many think is pleasing to Him, but rather our Lord is looking right
inside you to see if you are truly one of His. If our Lord sees someone who
is likeminded and in agreement with His plan of salvation then He is able
to work in and through that person, even to the point of doing exceeding
and abundantly above all that they could ever ask or think. The problem is that
many get talked out of His realm because of their tunnel vision, hanging
onto the old way of thinking rather than the new one available in Christ.
Acts 14:8-10 And there sat a certain man
at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb,
who never had walked: (9) The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly
beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, (10) Said
with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. (KJV)
When looking at these miracles that took
place and the people the Lord used to manifest His power through, we need
to know that these were people who were led by the Holy Spirit so that they
would be in the right place dealing with the right people that God chose to
minister to. Paul himself had his own Spiritual senses exercised so that he
could perceive or see a man that had faith to be healed, and then spoke
words that were Spirit and would bring life to the situation. Many people
would like to see God work in and through them as well, but how few are
willing to hear His message of faith and then actually step out and walk
more by their insight and less by the outward.
Matthew 9:4-8 And Jesus knowing their
thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? (5) For whether is
easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? (6) But
that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,
(then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go
unto thine house. (7) And he arose, and departed to his house. (8) But when
the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given
such power unto men. (KJV)
See what happens when one steps out in
faith, because our Lord is able to see your faith.
