Remaining Faithful
Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9)
Not of works, lest any man should boast. (10) For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained
that we should walk in them. (KJV)
Once you entered the Lord’s realm and
committed your life to Him that is supposed to be the end of your ways or
works, so that One with real results can go to work for you. Anytime one
thinks that they can add their own works to the mix, well, it just mixes
things up rather than helps. The more you can continue to walk by faith, a
faith in the works and the path that our Lord ordained for you to walk in,
the more you will see His results as well as the more He will reveal
Himself personally to you.
Hebrews 10:38-39 Now the just shall live
by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
(39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that
believe to the saving of the soul. (KJV)
Will you always like the direction that the
Lord is sending you in? Not always; however, if you desire to stay in good
standing with our Lord then you need to continue forward in your walk and
not draw back the troops and try to analyze things according to your way of
thinking. Faith is our ability to hear the message of God being delivered
through Christ so that we can walk that path and in the works our Lord
ordained for us to walk in before the foundation of the world. Think of it
this way, when looking back through the gospels and the healings that took
place, whether it was the blind receiving sight or the dead being raised
back to life, where would these people have been if the Lord wasn’t walking
by faith? How many of God’s people does the Lord have planned for you, to
come across your path and receive words of healing and encouragement?
However, how can this take place unless one is built up in the faith as
well as walking in the place that the Lord would have them in that day?
Isaiah 55:9-11 For as the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my
thoughts than your thoughts. (10) For as the rain cometh down, and the snow
from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh
it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to
the eater: (11) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it
shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (KJV)
You know, when you renew your mind daily,
the Bible says that you actually have the mind of Christ, and people it
don’t get any higher than that. Verse 11 makes reference to the fact that
the Word of God prospers where He sends it, as well as the vessels that are
willing and obedient to deliver His message. The Bible does warn us about
not casting His precious pearls before the swine, so don’t think that you
have to preach to everyone that comes across your path to be an effective
minister of the gospel.
1 Corinthians 2:4-7 And my speech and my
preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration
of the Spirit and of power: (5) That your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among
them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes
of this world, that come to nought: (7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto
our glory: (KJV)
The Lord will send His people to those
that are truly seeking His truth, while all others won’t even be able to
comprehend what you are speaking about because they don’t know how to
rightly divide the word of truth. Can you remain faithful even if the Lord
doesn’t have you reach out to the big audiences but rather to the ones and
twos that He sends you to? Can you put a price on one person’s salvation?
