It Began With The Word
Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God
created the heaven and the earth. (2) And the earth was without form, and
void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God
moved upon the face of the waters. (3) And God said, Let there be light:
and there was light. (KJV)
God spoke and there were results, things
were being created by this life giving all powerful Word of God. This Word
brought light to a dark world; this is the same Word that is bringing light
to your understanding so that you can see into this unending life changing
realm the Lord would like to see His people operate in. Just think what can
happen if you allow God’s Word to have an influence in your life, and what
would happen if you spoke and allowed His Word to come forth through you as
well?
Proverbs 4:23-24 Keep thy heart with all
diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (24) Put away from thee a
froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. (KJV)
Out of the abundance of your heart is
what will be coming from your mouth, and you will either be speaking words
of life or death. Anything or anyone that is froward, contrary, or perverse
is something that you will want to separate yourself from, so that those
imaginations can be cast down and forgotten. Your new birth, your new life
in Christ began with the Word of God, and will need to be continued in, as
well as ending with His Word if you truly desire to inherit eternal life.
It is vital that the words that you speak and give ear to are words that
are Spirit and will bring forth life, otherwise out of the heart will be
flowing bitter water instead of a fresh life giving one.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that
quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life. (KJV)
You trying to figure things out,
analyzing things according to your way of thinking will cause much more
confusion than peace. It’s our carnal minds and way of thinking that is in
opposition to what God would like to do in and through us, now it is a
matter of getting self out of the way. Remember it is the Spirit that is
willing, it is the flesh and its way of thinking that is weak. The
Spiritual realm is so much greater and more powerful than this temporal
outward realm, and so are those that stay in the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off
concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according
to the deceitful lusts; (23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (24)
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness. (KJV)
Your old man, that one that was stuck in
the flesh, is not going to believe, let alone be able to speak words that
are Spirit and life. Your new life began with the Word of God bringing new
life to your dormant spirit, reviving you and showing you a totally new and
alive realm, one more powerful than the old way that you were living.
1 Peter 1:23-25 Being born again, not of
corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth
and abideth for ever. (24) For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of
man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof
falleth away: (25) But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is
the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (KJV)
Your life here is temporal, temporary;
while the new life you are now partaking of is eternal. Given the fact that
your new life in Christ began with His Word, and you will only be able to
endure to the end by this Word, did your day today begin with the Word?
Because if not, just what did you think was more powerful, effective and
life giving?
