Hidden In Plain Sight

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (13) Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (KJV)

So why is it vital to come clean before the Lord? Well, all those things that you thought were hidden, you know, all that junk that you thought could be covered up, yeah, our Lord sees right through you and it is quite apparent what is going on inside. In fact all that effort that you have been putting into the cover up, you telling a lie to cover up the truth and the reality of what is really going on, yeah, all that effort could have been put into the healing process. What kind of relationship do you really have with the Lord? Is it a two way relationship where you trust Him enough to pour out your heart and seek forgiveness? Hey what kind of marriage would you have if everything was based on lies, and all you did was spend time trying to cover them up rather than seeking truth?

Psalms 62:7-8 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. (8) Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. (KJV)

If you really trusted in the Lord with all your heart, well, you would realize that He already knows your heart, and the motives of it. How about areas that you may be struggling in, do you try to pretend that they are not happening because you feel embarrassed or weak? Do you desire to know the Lord better? Then let Him into your life, so that when He is knocking on the door of your heart seeking entrance to help in time of need He doesn’t find that there is no one who will answer.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (10) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (KJV)

Wow guys, talk about a one eighty from what we are taught concerning being a man. The more you realize the truth, the more you realize just how weak you really are on your own; you know, like leaning to our own understanding? The Spirit is willing, and that is where you will find strength; it’s the flesh that is weak and will weaken those that stay in that realm. Paul found strength in weakness, and so will you if you open up to the Lord and let Him show you who you really are, and are not as well. For myself, in my fallen past, I would describe my illusion as being a legend in my own mind.

Proverbs 28:13-14 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (14) Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. (KJV)

Do you wonder why at times that your walk with the Lord seems like you are at a standstill, on a treadmill, or just an old stick or stuck in the mud? Your unwillingness to be open and honest before the Lord, your stubbornness or hardened heart keeps you from moving forward in your walk, but rather regressing. Sometimes the person we need to look at first is the last one we honestly look at, ourselves; which when one comes to their Spiritual senses, they realize that all the things that they think are hidden, are in plain sight to our Lord.
