A Complete and Fulfilling Name

Ephesians 4:17-20 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, (18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: (19) Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. (20) But ye have not so learned Christ; (KJV)

In conclusion this week I would like to end on the name that has been revealed to mankind by God through Jesus Christ, so that we could be saved and continue in His knowledge which is in Christ. I see so many who are still stuck on the wrong side of the veil, still stuck in religious works and outward rituals, and not knowing the truth that would set them free and keep them free. You know God gave His Son a complete name, and it is not just the name of Jesus, but it is Jesus Christ that makes that name complete, as well as all those that know this name for themselves. What a slap in the face to hear so many give an inaccurate, incomplete way to end their prayers and teachings by leaving the name of Christ out of them.

Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. (11) This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)

Strong’s definition for ‘whole’:

5199  hugies (hoog-ee-ace'); from the base of 837; healthy, i.e. well (in body); figuratively, true (in doctrine): KJV-- sound, whole.

I don’t know about others, but when I came to the Lord I was looking for something complete, someone that could fill that whole void in my life not just part of it. I know for myself I have found the only complete and fulfilling name is Jesus Christ. I know many are going to stand before the throne of God hoping that their name is written in the Lamb’s book of life as well as confessed before His angels, because if not then they are not going to get access to their eternal reward. Well, then you need to be giving the accurate and complete name that gets His people set free and allows them to go boldly before His throne of grace. God didn’t do anything half hearted or incomplete on our behalf, so it is expected that we return the favor as well with a complete and accurate response to who His Son is and what name He goes by.

John 4:23-26 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (24) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (25) The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. (26) Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. (KJV)

You want to know what the complete name of your Lord is, the one mediator between us and God? Well just look at what He called Himself. And given the fact that He is now seated at the right hand of God, that works for me.

1 Timothy 2:5-7 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (7) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. (KJV)

So what side of the veil are you on today; are you on the inside getting the picture first hand, or are you still on the outside pretending with the many who are blind? If you desire a complete and fulfilling walk with our Lord, then learn who He is personally and the one name that is above all other names, Jesus Christ.
