The Real Meaning Of Life

John 10:10-11 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (KJV)

For many people they go through their short time here on earth and never quite find the true meaning of life, and why they were put here on planet earth. Many other people do get a hold of the truth for a season, but then get caught up again in the things of this fallen realm, and end up entangled and pulled back under, like someone drowning in a swamp full of weeds clinging to them. As we see clearly illustrated above, our Lord came to give us access to a new life because the one that mankind was accustomed to wasn’t working and wasn’t getting rid of sin, but rather just kept it covered up for a season with carnal rituals. Now that our Lord has come, and provided a way of escape from this present evil world, ‘how few are really following through with their commitment, knowing the real meaning of life in the Spirit’?

Deuteronomy 8:1-4 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. (2) And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. (3) And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. (4) Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. (KJV)

You know when you stop and think about it, our short time here on earth is like a test; the plan of salvation is God’s perfect filtering process to see who really wants to serve Him and live with Him for eternity. Our Lord has already dealt with rebellion once, in fact it took place right in heaven; so He decided that in order to fill the vacancies left when Lucifer and a third of the angels were given the boot, He would create mankind and give them a shot. So what is the real meaning of your life today; are you just accepting what the outward dictates, or have you found some real life by the word of God that is proceeding from the mouth of Him? At the end of your time here on earth, are you going to be able to hear well done good and faithful servant, or will it be depart from me, I never really knew you because you never made my kingdom a priority?

1 Corinthians 10:4-6 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. (5) But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. (6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. (KJV)

The Word is quite consistent throughout on the fact that the many are not finding true life, but rather are being deceived. You will find that in your walk with the Lord and the deeper that you get into His plan of salvation, that the path that you are walking is a narrow one, and not heavily traveled either. So let’s start with today, living by faith, every word that proceeds from the mouth of God to your Spiritual ears so that you can have some real meaning in your life, the way our Lord meant for you to live.
