Perfect Peace
Isaiah 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in
perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (4)
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting
strength: (KJV)
Some of the definitions of the word ‘perfect’
that we see above refer to complete, healthy, safe, prosperous, as well as
contentment. Hey, after all wasn’t that what we were always looking for in
our lives, something that would satisfy and fill that void in our heart? Well,
our Lord says that He has a perfect answer, and one that will make those
that hear it and live it perfect as well. Do you desire more of this peace
in your life? Well, stay seated in a heavenly realm and you will hear how
to maintain that peace and make it a way of life as well, something you
should expect and not just hope happens once in a while.
John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is
the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you
all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have
said unto you. (27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not
as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid. (KJV)
Even back to the time of Moses when the
Lord would do a work, or manifest Himself in a miraculous way, the devil
would have a cheap imitation to get the people looking elsewhere for
results. The Comforter is just that, someone who was sent to bring you a
perfect comfort so that no matter what was taking place in the outward
realm, the inward man could still maintain that perfect peace. The world
tries to bring peace by outward things, however, the problem with the
outward is that it changes; so what looked too good in the beginning ends
up to be a total abomination in the sight of God, and so are those that
fall for the deceptions. So what are you really putting your trust and
confidence in today, and is it a perfect answer, or is it incomplete and
will leave you holding the bag?
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of God, which passeth
all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV)
The Lord doesn’t want you to be full of
care because He said that He would do the caring for you. Given the fact
that our Lord knows what we have need of before we even ask, well, I don’t
know of anyone more qualified to handle the caring part than Him. Actually,
another definition of careful is anxious, which means getting ahead of the
Lord and then loosing the peace that we had in the beginning. That perfect
peace is what we need to keep our hearts and mind aimed at, and then stay
in that realm so that we can get the Lord’s perfect results in our walk.
Psalms 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and
behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. (KJV)
You know, God sent mankind a perfect
example; His own Son, so that we could take aim and follow His example of
how to let the peace of God rule in our life. Have you ever met a Christian
that was a good example of our Lord, someone who was at peace and knew how
to keep that peace despite what the outward would try to dictate? That
perfect man, the mature one in Christ, knows how to keep the Lord in sight
always, no matter what kind of distraction the enemy would try to throw his
way.
Isaiah 57:19-21 I create the fruit of the
lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith
the LORD; and I will heal him. (20) But the wicked are like the troubled
sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. (21) There is
no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. (KJV)
You can definitely tell the difference
between someone who truly has the peace of God ruling in their life, and
those that don’t. People that are always dishing the dirt on others, you
know those backbiters that are deep sea diving in the dead sea, yeah not
very pleasant being around that junk is it? I pray this day that you will
find that perfect peace, and let that peace rule in all your decisions that
you encounter today.
