Fruit To Perfection
Matthew 13:22-23 He also that received
seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this
world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh
unfruitful. (23) But he that received seed into the good ground is he that
heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and
bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (KJV)
Hey, ever wonder what that term
hundredfold really means? No I am not talking about all those phony money
pitches that you heard on TV or the radio where you give an amount of money
and get back a hundred times more. In fact if you look closely at verse 22,
you will see that those things that man is promoting is actually more of a
hindrance rather than a help to one’s Spiritual welfare. On a scale of one
to a hundred, a hundred now referring to perfection, we are the ones that
should be bearing and giving God a hundredfold return on His Spiritual
investment, and not the other way around. We are the ones that need to bear
and bring forth the fruit of the Spirit in our own lives, growing up and
maturing according to God’s standards and not man’s fallen way.
Luke 8:14-15 And that which fell among
thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with
cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to
perfection. (15) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest
and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with
patience. (KJV)
We talked this week about being perfect,
no not according to the carnal, but Spiritually perfect, having the right
motive of the heart. As we see clearly spelled out, those that do not have
an honest and good heart before our Lord can never bring forth fruit to
perfection the way our Lord intended it to be brought forth. You know, you
don’t pick the fruit until it matures, or ripens. Well, our Lord doesn’t
pick people who are rotten to the core either. Grow up people! Quit being
duped by a bunch of childish doctrines which claim God owes us a
hundredfold return on carnal things when we are the ones who should be
bringing forth a hundredfold return Spiritually.
Luke 6:38-40 Give, and it shall be given
unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running
over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye
mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (39) And he spake a parable
unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the
ditch? (40) The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is
perfect shall be as his master. (KJV)
Oh and here is a verse that gets so
twisted, perverted, and bent to fit man’s interpretation and not our Lord’s
intended interpretation. Are you giving yourself wholeheartedly to the
Lord, willing to lay down your life for the brethren? Are you always ready
to give the Lord’s answer and response to any of His people that you may
encounter today? So exactly what is the good measure that is pressed down
shaken together and running over? Well, let me give you a hint Church, it
has nothing to do with money or the love of it.
John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him
come unto me, and drink. (38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture
hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (KJV)
Are you a fountain of life today in this
dried out desolate world that we are surrounded in? What is really flowing
through you and coming forth from the heart, sweet water or bitter? Keep
this fact in mind, God is a Spirit, His realm is Spiritual, and only those
that worship Him in Spirit and in truth are going to be bringing forth
fruit to perfection, while all the wannabes and pretenders will be tossed
out. Hey, how could you ever bring forth a ripe crop without a source of
living waters? Fruit to perfection has nothing to do with money or all
those money grubbing false prophets who try to make it appear that God is
more concerned with carnal matters rather than what really matters
spiritually. Be fruitful Church.
