Never Again
Psalms 31:1-3 In thee, O LORD, do I put
my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. (2) Bow
down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an
house of defence to save me. (3) For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. (KJV)
You know, when you are in a trial, a time
when you really need an answer as well as some real results, isn’t it
comforting to know that we have a rock solid name and fortress to go to in
time of need. You do know that this is available don’t you? So why do so
many of God’s people act like the tail end instead of the head where they
belong? Well maybe it’s because they just didn’t get to know who the head of
God’s church is, and got their tail kicked instead. You as a believer in
Christ have a rock solid fortress of a name, as well as a shield of faith
which God said would quench, no not just a few, but all the fiery darts of
the wicked one. So why do so many still get lit up and torched by the
enemy?
2 Timothy 2:16-19 But shun profane and
vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (17) And
their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; (18)
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past
already; and overthrow the faith of some. (19) Nevertheless the foundation
of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.
And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (KJV)
If you don’t spend some time in the Word letting
the truth set you free, well you open yourself up for a lot of things that
will pull you down and drown you in destruction and misery. God’s
foundation stands sure, and so do those that know who they are in Christ.
In fact the Lord has given His people a seal, you know a stamp of approval,
with a name that makes them genuine. So are you on the Lord’s foundation
today, right now, or are you slip sliding away? We as Christians should no
longer be conforming our lifestyle after the world, but rather once we name
the name of Christ and become a part of His family we then need to depart
from iniquity.
Luke 13:24-27 Strive to enter in at the
strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not
be able. (25) When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut
to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door,
saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I
know you not whence ye are: (26) Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten
and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. (27) But he
shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye
workers of iniquity. (KJV)
Many are going to find out the hard way,
that imitating the world and those of it is not going to fly; instead they
will get tossed away at the door when seeking entrance to what should have
been an eternal reward. One way or the other the Lord is going to get rid
of iniquity; the question is will you leave it behind you, or will you
still be clinging to it when it gets discarded?
Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all
the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. (KJV)
So never again; you never again have to
get fooled and fall for the lies of the enemy, or when once the door is
shut by our Lord you will never again have access to His reward, the ball is
in your court.
