Did You Never Read?
Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did
ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the
same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is
marvellous in our eyes? (KJV)
Thayer’s definition for ‘read’:
314
anaginosko-
1) to distinguish
between, to recognise, to know accurately, to acknowledge
2) to read
Have you ever read, or should I say
skimmed through articles, and when you were done you didn’t really have a
clue as to what you just went through? Apparently many believers are doing
the same thing, because rather than understand and embrace the truth, which
the Lord describes as being the head of the corner, they are discarding the
most important piece of their salvation.
Ephesians 4:13-15 Till we all come in the
unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect
man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (14) That we
henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with
every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (15) But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (KJV)
Did you never read, or should I say did
you never hear; you know, having Spiritual ears to hear with? When going
through the Word, and you see terms like stone and head, do hear the name
associated with those verses? The doctrine of Christ, the Son of God, is
who will enlighten you to the things above so that you don’t have to stay
trapped below in a fallen realm of confusion and doubt. The name of Christ
is a rock solid foundation that God built His true church upon, the one
name that the gates of hell cannot keep contained. Again people, your Bible
is quite specific that the enemy of our Lord is described as antichrist,
and not antijesus. So while many false prophets teach and preach about the
outward man that walked this earth, there are a few that have gone beyond
the flesh to see the inward meaning of the Word.
Ephesians 2:19-22 Now therefore ye are no
more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of
the household of God; (20) And are built upon the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; (21)
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple
in the Lord: (22) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of
God through the Spirit. (KJV)
Given the fact that God is a Spirit then
it is vital that you know the Spiritual meaning and context of His word,
which can only be revealed to you personally through His Son. You know all
those apostles and prophets that God used to speak through and reveal His
plan of salvation to us? Yeah, they are in a good place today because they
not only read the scriptures but they were able to know the meaning of them
as well. You know, you too are a part of the heavenly family and can stay
in good standing as long as your foundation is on the same rock solid name
which is above all names, that being Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation
can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (KJV)
You when reading the Word, are you able
to see who Christ is and how vital it is that you know His name? In fact
according to the Word it is the only foundation, the one Rock which is
precious in the sight of God that many reject. In fact someday when seeking
your entrance to your heavenly reward our Lord is going to ask those that
don’t know His name, “did you never read”? Because Church, it is there for
the taking; however, it will only be revealed by the Spirit to those that
are Spiritual as well. I pray that you continue your search in the Spirit,
based on the truth of the Word which will set and keep you free. God bless
in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord, the one and only name which is above
all names which will take you to a realm above and beyond anything you
could have ever thought of or asked for.
