Signed Sealed Delivered
Ephesians 1:12-14 That we should be to
the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (13) In whom ye also
trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that
holy Spirit of promise, (14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until
the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (KJV)
Ever see the products that are marked
with the real seal? Did you know that you were given a seal, a down payment
so that when our Lord returns some day He can get His product in good
shape, free from corruption. The Holy Spirit is that seal, and for all
those that give ear to this Spirit, they will find the path that leads to
their eternal inheritance, learning to walk by faith and no longer by their
fallen outward, limited sight.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now he which
stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; (22) Who
hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (KJV)
When a product is stamped with a seal it
means that whoever opens this seal will find the product still intact and
in good shape. Christ is the total package, having provided us with an
escape from this present evil world so that we could present ourselves to
God, uncorrupted, innocent like a child.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the
foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them
that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from
iniquity. (KJV)
You know, this seal has a name which
makes it the real seal. Those that are truly in Christ will be departing
from the ways of this world, allowing the Lord to be their only source of
strength and deliverance from its fallen ways. Those that are truly founded
on this rock solid foundation, which is Christ, will continue standing
sure, while anyone else will end up falling for some cheap imitation.
Ephesians 4:28-30 Let him that stole
steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing
which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. (29) Let no
corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to
the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (30) And
grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of
redemption. (KJV)
Don’t let your old fallen nature take
over and corrupt that new creation in Christ. You are sealed with His Holy
Spirit so that you can walk in the Spirit by no longer fulfilling the
desires of your flesh which can break through and corrupt that new growth
within you if left unchecked. A daily dose of the Word of truth renewing
the mind will keep you sealed and in good standing with our Lord, so that
He will not be grieved but rather He will be able to say well done good and
faithful servant.
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 But of him are ye
in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and
sanctification, and redemption: (31) That, according as it is written, He
that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. (KJV)
Each and every day that goes by, our
redemption is drawing nearer. Are you drawing closer to the Lord, or have
you fallen back into your old ways? We have a deliverer who has signed our
ransom note in His blood, sealed the deal, and is now asking us to walk in
the deliverance He provided for us to walk in before the foundation of the
world.
Ever see these programs when a child is
held captive and then set free, and how those that are waiting, are waving
and encouraging the child to walk away and back into the loving arms of the
parent? Now you have some idea of what the Lord has done on our behalf, and
which way He desires for us to go. Are you heading in His direction, or have
you walked back to your captors? We have been signed, sealed, and now
delivered; so hold fast your profession of faith and you will not waver in
your walk. God bless, and stay free Church.
