The End Is Here
Galatians 3:25-26 But after that faith is
come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (26) For ye are all the
children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (KJV)
How could one accurately describe Jesus
Christ and what He has done on our behalf? How about the term, “He is the
beginning and the ending”? Christ is the beginning of the new life in the
realm of the Spirit, because simply put, He did away with the old law and
its works, which no longer works. However, one of the biggest hang-ups I
see happening with believers is, they begin so well in the Spirit and then
get hung up with dead rituals by dead people still operating in a dead
realm that our Lord clearly said was no longer in play.
Romans 10:1-4 Brethren, my heart's desire
and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. (2) For I bear
them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. (3)
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to
establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the
righteousness of God. (4) For Christ is the end of the law for
righteousness to every one that believeth. (KJV)
Whether it is Israel, which Paul could
relate to and used as an example, or many of today’s popular religions and
doctrines which many of us can relate to, they all have the same thing in
common. You as a believer in Christ can easily identify (of course that is
if you are still exercising your Spiritual senses) those who are still in
ignorance of God’s righteousness. Christ is the end of the line to our own
works because you realize that only what He has done and accomplished on your
behalf really works. Again and again as we have pointed out this week that
it all comes down to believing, and that is when you will put an end to all
the silly carnal rituals and washings, and move on to maturity the way our
Lord intended for you to.
Galatians 3:10-12 For as many as are of
the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every
one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the
law to do them. (11) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight
of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. (12) And the law
is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. (KJV)
Remember the many that are called? Yeah,
they decided they knew better than our Lord and have gone back to works.
Thus, the reason why few are chosen by God; because only a few are willing
to live by faith and not of works. Not only is Christ the end of the law, a
law of sin and death, but your faith in Him eliminates the curse as well.
So why would one try to live in something our Lord says throughout His Word
is dead? And those who try to live in this realm, well, that would have
them in the dead column as well.
Galatians 3:13-14 Christ hath redeemed us
from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written,
Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (14) That the blessing of
Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might
receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (KJV)
Oh how sad to see what our Lord has done
for His people only to see them return back to something He came to deliver
them from. I see the word ‘might’ used twice in verse 14, and the might
part is on our end and not on the Lord’s, He did His part. Christ is the
end. Have you allowed His Word to put an end to the old so that you can
walk in the new?
