Stay Awake
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man
receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness
unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(KJV)
So what really happened when you were
born again; you know when you made that commitment to the Lord? Well, for
starters you were enlightened to the realm of the Spirit, and now you are
able to look beyond the veil of your limited carnal vision and see into a
realm where there are no limitations and no end to what is going on there.
So with that in mind today, was seeking first the kingdom of God and His
righteousness your first priority, or have you been looking elsewhere
thinking you would find peace?
1 Corinthians 11:28-31 But let a man
examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. (29)
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation
to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. (30) For this cause many are
weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. (31) For if we would judge
ourselves, we should not be judged. (KJV)
You know all that time you spend judging
others? Gosh, just think where you would be if you examined your own life
that closely. Many eat and drink unworthily because they don’t see and
understand the Spiritual meaning of the Word of God, and still hold to the
carnal outward meaning. It is because of this that many (you know the many
that were called of God) don’t answer and fulfill their calling; they lose
sight of the Spiritual realm and seek more the things of this carnal fallen
one, including the approval of fallen people as well.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are
we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we
be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (KJV)
Why are many (and yes that many that are
being referred to is God’s own people) weak, sickly, and even some having
fallen back to sleep spiritually? The Spirit is willing, the flesh and
those that operate in that realm remain weak. Whether we see terms like
eating, drinking, or even baptism, so many still hold to the outward
rituals and never rightly divide the word of truth to see what the Spiritual
meaning of it is. You have been given access to drink living Spiritual
waters so that out of your heart would flow living waters. We should be
partaking of the bread of life, which is Spiritual, the Word of God which
is the only thing that will feed our Spirit man inside. And of course
baptism is a way of life, being immersed and cleansed with living waters
and not the carnal one anymore. People, nothing describes the state of the
so called church better than weak, sickly, and sleep walking people who are
blind to the truth and true meaning of the Word of God.
Ephesians 5:13-15 But all things that are
reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest
is light. (14) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from
the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. (15) See then that ye walk
circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (KJV)
God gave us His Word so that we could be
perfect, mature, thoroughly furnished Spiritually, walking in the good
works He ordained for us to walk in before the foundation of the world. Are
you sleepwalking, in a trance, having been hypnotized by man’s fallen
doctrines, or have you stayed awake Spiritually letting the eyes of your Spiritual
understanding lead and guide you in truth?
