Save The Planet
2 Peter 3:10-11 But the day of the Lord
will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away
with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (11) Seeing
then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought
ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (KJV)
While the world and its worldly people
are all caught up in saving the planet, the Lord is warning His people on
what kind of lifestyle they should be living. The fate of this planet is
already sealed; the Lord has already decided to replace this earth as well
as heaven with new models, ones that will last for eternity. Now granted,
it is wise to learn things that are helpful, like recycling and such, but
we as Christians need to be more concerned with the inward working of our
Lord and not with the outward.
2 Peter 3:12-14 Looking for and hasting
unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall
be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (13) Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness. (14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for
such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without
spot, and blameless. (KJV)
So what was it that you were fussing
about and getting so wrapped around the axels with? Does it really have
anything to do with what is eternal, or maybe when looking at the overall
picture of things it really was not such a big deal after all was it? Just
like in the time of Noah before the flood came and destroyed the earth, we
are once again on the verge of another spiritual flood that will do away
with the old and bring in the new. So today, if you are seeking and letting
the peace of God rule in your life, then come time for the change you will
be ready to go and partake of the new heaven and the new earth that our
Lord promised.
Psalms 97:5-6 The hills melted like wax
at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole
earth. (6) The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see
his glory. (KJV)
What manner of person are you today, one
that is ready to go when the Lord calls His church, or are you still of the
world and the mindset of it, who in the end will end up being fired?
Psalms 46:6-7 The heathen raged, the
kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. (7) The LORD
of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (KJV)
Hey come on, really, that slick
politician that promised to fix all of the problems, or those slippery so
called evangelists and prophets who keep speaking of some great revival
especially if the people ante up, you didn’t fall for that one did you?
Mankind has not, never has and never will be able to save themselves from
themselves, thus the reason why God sent His Son to deliver us from our own
destructions. Save the planet, for what; all it is now is, kindling waiting
to be dissolved and replaced with something better.
