Receiving And Believing

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (KJV)

Until one actually receives the things of God the way that He intended for it to be received, that being in Spirit and in truth, then one can never believe and know what is of truth. When things are not Spiritually discerned they are open season for the enemy to throw his own take in on things; which being the fact that he is a liar and the father of them the version you end up with is a lie as well.

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. (2) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. (3) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? (4) For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? (KJV)

Paul had a lot more that he would have liked to have shared with the people of Corinth, but as we see then as we do today, that many were not receiving the things of God, but rather of man. How many people put other people on pedestals, or even themselves trying to get people into their inner circles rather than the inner circle located in heaven? Then to add insult to injury, they think that by following certain people it will keep them in good standing with God.

Luke 22:24-26 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. (25) And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. (26) But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. (KJV)

You will find that those who are seeking to make a name for themselves will find out that God has a name picked out for them already, reprobate, one that is unapproved in His sight. Those that are striving to be seen of man have in essence fallen out of good standing with the Lord, while those who are seeking the approval of God will not be as well known to the world and its ways. Are you receiving the truth so that you can share it with others, or are you striving to move ahead in your walk even if it means stepping on others along the way? You can tell who childish people are because they hold more to man and ministries rather than knowing the true doctrine of Christ and how He would have them operate.

1 John 5:7-9 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (8) And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (9) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (KJV)

There is an inner circle located in heaven; like a target with a bulls eye this is where a good preacher and teacher will be pointing the people to aim at and not at man. Those that don’t receive the truth will not believe in this greater witness from above, but rather will be stuck in this fallen realm fussing and fighting with other childish people who seek their reward here and not in the hereafter. God bless and keep the faith.
