Badge Of Honor
1 Timothy 5:14-15 I will therefore that
the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion
to the adversary to speak reproachfully. (15) For some are already turned
aside after Satan. (KJV)
If you notice the order set in place by
God; the marrying part comes first before bearing children. However, as we
have gotten in these last days where things have gotten worse and worse
mankind has decided to replace God and His order with their ways, which try
as they will, they just keep hitting a dead end. Many today in this country
think that it is a badge of honor to be a quote “single parent”, and they
wear this badge with honor and even pride. The truth be known Church, is that
it just shows us how much things have decayed and are literally falling
apart at the seams.
Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in
all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
(KJV)
You know, whether one believes it or not,
marriage between a man and a woman is the only union our Lord blesses and
approves of. Today with immorality running rampant like a wildfire, not
only does the mindset of not getting married before one decides to bear
children produce problems, but it also produces a lot of unwanted and
unintended little people as well; little children that childish people were
not ready to deal with. You know, a whoremonger is not just those people
you see standing on the street corners at night dressed in their sleazy
attire; it is all those, even the Christian, who engages in behavior that
was only meant for those that have made a marriage commitment before God.
Isaiah 5:20-21 Woe unto them that call
evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for
darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (21) Woe unto
them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (KJV)
You know people, God doesn’t change with
the times; what He said was sin in the beginning will be sin in the end, and
will have the same results also, eternal separation if continued. Yeah, you
brought a child into this world, then you darn well better be taking care
of that child and providing the need. If you were not ready to bring a
child into this world then you had no business engaging in activity that
results in childbirth now did you? Don’t go blaming everyone else or the
other person that isn’t manning up, stepping up to the plate and being a
man. If that other person was so mature then they wouldn’t have engaged in
this irresponsible activity, would they?
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for
his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the
faith, and is worse than an infidel. (KJV)
Guys and gals, if that person that claims
to love you so much is not willing to make a marriage commitment to you
before engaging in the act that produces offspring, then according to your Bible
this is not the person for you. Many of today’s problems are a result of
irresponsible breeding by irresponsible people who can’t even take care of
themselves, let alone a child. It seems that the more irresponsible they
are, the more children they keep pumping out into the mainstream of
society.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body. (19) What? know ye not that your
body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own? (20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (KJV)
We as the Church, a group of believers,
should be the example of the believers and not imitators of the world.
In conclusion today, I know this does not
fit every single parent that is out there because there are circumstances
that may have taken place that were out of your control, or that took place
before your conversion. This message is to those that have adopted the
fallen mindset of the world, who hand out these so called badges of honor
like its candy to people for their dishonorable behavior. If that person
you are thinking about having a relationship with is not willing to stand
with you in a marriage commitment first, then you have no business lying
with that person and acting like you are married. You need to know before-hand
that the person you decide to lay with, at the time of conception, had
better be around for the time of reception also.
