A Real Shut In
Galatians 3:22-23 But the scripture hath
concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be
given to them that believe. (23) But before faith came, we were kept under
the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. (KJV)
That law being referred to in the above
verses was one of sin and death, basically keeping a person on the outside
and unable to access the inner workings of our Lord. Now that faith has
arrived, and is readily available to any and all that would call upon the
name of the Lord, is there any reason why one would not access this faith
that our Lord was dying to give His people?
Revelation 3:19-21 As many as I love, I
rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (20) Behold, I stand
at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will
come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that
overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne. (KJV)
You know that voice you have been trying
to ignore and shut out? Yeah, that’s the one that you need to open the door
to and allow Him access into your heart again. Just because the Lord is
seeking to make some changes in your life, it doesn’t mean that you are a
total failure, but rather one of His children that He is looking to bless
with all the Spiritual blessings that He desires His people to partake of.
You know, every time you ignore His voice and shut the door it opens the
opportunity for the enemy to come and try to take up residence in a place that
he was evicted from.
Mark 4:18-20 And these are they which are
sown among thorns; such as hear the word, (19) And the cares of this world,
and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in,
choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (20) And these are they which
are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring
forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. (KJV)
Oooopppsss, looks like the door was
opened to another voice, that being the voice of a stranger who returned
back to your house with his posse of seven others trying to make things
worse for you than they were in the beginning of your walk with the Lord.
Do take note, in verse 19 the reference is made to things entering in. The
only reason this junk is entering in is because someone gave ear to a
stranger’s voice rather than the Lord. However, faith is simply believing,
hearing the Word first hand from the Lord Himself so that it can produce
His desired result; and bring forth fruit to maturity so that you the
believer won’t be tossed to and fro with man’s fallen doctrines.
Revelation 3:7-8 And to the angel of the
church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that
is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man
shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (8) I know thy works: behold, I
have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a
little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (KJV)
This key that is being referred to is a
Spiritual key, which allows us entry into the Lord’s realm, one where now
all things are possible to them that believe. Don’t be a shut in any
longer, but rather open the door and allow our Lord access into the heart.
Remember salvation is a two-way street; when you allow the Lord into your
life He in turn gives you access into His eternal unending one.
