Your Inheritance

1 Corinthians 15:49-50 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (50) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (KJV)

Someday when you seek your eternal entrance into the kingdom of God you will need to bring more than a flesh and blood mindset and understanding, in order to be allowed access into His kingdom. Although many base this inheritance and entry into God’s kingdom by how good they were, or how good many claimed they were, in the end it’s only those that truly do the will of God who will gain access, while all others will have an eternity to ponder what could have been.

Matthew 19:16-17 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (17) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (KJV)

Hey they tried to tell Jesus of Nazareth what a good person he was; in fact some today teach and preach that he was so good that he was actually God. Well if our Lord was quick to squelch those rumors back then, and the fact that He does not change, then that would mean that He did not base the work God had Him do by man’s standards but rather rose up to a higher standard, one which is Spiritual and in truth. You will find that your entrance into the kingdom of God is not based on your works, or the fact that you are or think you are some good person, but rather your salvation is based more on hearing from an incorruptible person now seated at the right hand of the Father.

Romans 1:21-23 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (23) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (KJV)

You know, we are made in the image and likeness of God, and yet with that in mind, the carnal mind I should say, why do so many still try to lower God to man’s standards, trying to make Him fit into man’s image and likeness? Today many still portray pictures of a man named Jesus of Nazareth, and worship the creation more than the Creator, making it appear that God was a man. As we see in the above verses, those that try to lower God to man’s standards and their limited way of thinking are portrayed as foolish and living in darkness. Oh and it goes without saying also that anytime mankind worships any other thing, whether creeping or flying, then they too have entered the realm of corruptible, something God does not acknowledge as truth.

Ephesians 4:20-22 But ye have not so learned Christ; (21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: (22) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; (KJV)

Ever wonder why the kingdom of God is considered a mystery, something that has been hidden is now made manifest? Well it is still a mystery to those that keep looking in the outward realm and not within to find the incorruptible man, which is Christ in you the hope of glory. My prayer for today is that you will seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all that is needed will be provided.
