Vain Subjection

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (KJV)

You know, an inheritance is only reserved for the family members; and the reading of the will, determines at the end of life who will get what is rightfully theirs. God made promises to mankind that despite their fall He would provide a way of escape from the corruption of this world through the sacrifice of His Son, so that we could receive our reward of inheritance. Do know though, that in order to receive this inheritance, it can only be accomplished by hearing the Lord personally for yourself on a daily basis so that you can find your place in His body of believers and do what He intended for you to do before the foundation of the world.

Romans 8:20-21 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, (21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (KJV)

When we were born into this world we were stuck and limited by our carnal minds, which looked to other creatures for answers. For those that are reborn into the realm of the Spirit they find that their deliverance is not based in or on a flesh and blood man, but in a new man that is coming to life within them. Mankind today still thinks that they can figure their way out of their destructions, which is vain to say the least. God sent His Word and plan of salvation to a fallen mankind; and only His incorruptible Word and truth will truly set us free from our vain imaginations or fantasy land, which we have lived in the past.

Galatians 5:1-3 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (2) Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. (3) For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. (KJV)

Do you want to know what is vain? Well, one of the best descriptions is seeing people being born again by an incorruptible seed which is Christ, and then for them to turn back to a corruptible carnal way of thinking which is the old law and its works, which in reality no longer works. No matter how the old law manifests, whether circumcisions or water baptisms, it all clearly means that a simple incorruptible plan of salvation has now been replaced with man’s fallen interpretations of it. Remember that stuff about a little leaven making a mess of the whole lump? Well, what was intended to be the bread of life becomes a breeding ground of strife once man corrupts the simple plan of salvation.

2 Peter 2:18-19 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. (19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (KJV)

Oh don’t think that just because you made some commitment to the Lord at some emotional religious service that you have got it made, but rather watch and pray always because the enemy is watching and preying on many unsuspecting new born Christians. You still have a corruptible lower nature that can only find its deliverance through an incorruptible seed; the only One that can deliver you from your vain carnal subjection to the flesh. They that are in the flesh, well, they just cannot be pleasing to our Father in heaven.
