There For The Taking
Mark 4:11-13 And he said unto them, Unto
you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them
that are without, all these things are done in parables: (12) That seeing
they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not
understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins
should be forgiven them. (13) And he said unto them, Know ye not this
parable? and how then will ye know all parables? (KJV)
Take note of the fact that the word ‘given’
is used in verse 11; like a gift it is given for all mankind to know, not
just guess or hope like with a casino where there are only certain people who
end up winning while all the rest leave empty handed. A mystery is something
hidden, like behind a veil, that once it has been unveiled it is easily
seen and understood by those that seek it with all their heart. So what
happens when people know not this mystery?
Mark 12:23-25 In the resurrection
therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the
seven had her to wife. (24) And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not
therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of
God? (25) For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor
are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. (KJV)
When one does not take the time to know
the Word for themselves it then opens them up to a world of
interpretations, none of which are of God. Along with the truth that will set
one free there is power, without one you cannot have the other. Keep in
mind the fact that many of the people that our Lord encountered during His
ministry here on earth were those that claimed they were believers and knew
God. As you grow and mature in the Word of God you will find out also that
many that claim they are of God, well, let’s just say that the truth is
still a mystery to them.
John 4:22-24 Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. (23) But the hour
cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in
spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (24) God
is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in
truth. (KJV)
See the difference between knowing and
not knowing; thus, the reason why our God sent us His Son, so that He could
reveal to His people the mystery of His kingdom. The difference is like
night and day; where one realm is of darkness, and the other is of light. I
have seen many so called forms of worship, anywhere from waving at a
ceiling, to people acting like rock stars rather than basing their
salvation on the Rock. If your worship, which is a lifestyle not some
performance many perform on Sundays, is not in Spirit and according to
truth, then it is a total waste of time and nothing more than an outward
show and not an inward renewing of the Holy Ghost.
John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I
know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will
tell us all things. (26) Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am
he. (KJV)
God’s plan of salvation was manifest in
the flesh, a man who sought His justification in the Spirit, thus the
reason why He was used of God to reveal the mystery of His kingdom. While
many look more to the outward man Jesus because of their limited carnal
vision, the mystery is in Christ, the Son of the living God. God’s gift to
mankind was sent to us in the name of Jesus Christ so that those who choose
to could take hold of His free gift. It’s there for the taking Church, now
go grab a hold of it.
