Solving The Mystery
Mark 4:11-13 And he said unto them, Unto
you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them
that are without, all these things are done in parables: (12) That seeing
they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not
understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins
should be forgiven them. (13) And he said unto them, Know ye not this
parable? and how then will ye know all parables? (KJV)
When solving a mystery, the first thing a
person will do is go to the area where this mystery is taking place. The
second thing one will do is find out who is involved, and what it takes to
find out what happened, and why. All of mankind needs to find the answer to
this eternal Spiritual mystery so that some day when they stand before our
Father they can give the answer to this mystery, the only answer that He
will acknowledge as truth.
Ephesians 3:3-5 How that by revelation he
made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4) Whereby,
when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (5) Which
in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now
revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV)
You will notice in your search for the
answer that it is located in heaven and not something that you will find
with your own wisdom. The answer to this mystery will come to you
personally through the Spirit so that you can know it for yourself.
Secondly, as far as the ‘who’ is involved, you will notice consistently
throughout the Word that it involves Jesus Christ, the one mediator between
God and mankind.
Colossians 4:3-4 Withal praying also for
us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery
of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: (4) That I may make it manifest,
as I ought to speak. (KJV)
Paul’s prayer was not to build a big
following or make a name for himself, but rather his only desire was to be able
to teach and preach effectively to the people the mystery of Christ. Many
people knew Jesus of Nazareth after the outward man, knowing He was the son
of a carpenter, Mary His mother, as well as having brothers and sisters.
The mystery was located within Him, which is within each and every believer
as well, that being Christ in you. The more you look to the inward man and
not the outward one, the more enlightened you will be, and find the answer
to this mystery as well.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)
You know, your life is going to seem a
bit mysterious to those around you, especially to those that knew you
before your conversion. In fact, you too will be a bit astonished as well
when you truly walk a new path in the newness of life, knowing that you are
being led by the Spirit and no longer limited by your carnal understanding.
Colossians 1:26-28 Even the mystery which
hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to
his saints: (27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope
of glory: (28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in
all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: (KJV)
Here is the biggest clue one can give
concerning the mystery of the gospel, and how to solve this mystery for
yourself, which is vital if one is going to walk with the Lord. When you
see the word ‘mystery’ in the Bible you will find that it involves Christ,
thus the answer to solving this mystery from above. Case closed.
