Incorruptible Seed

1 Corinthians 15:49-50 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (50) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (KJV)

It takes two births to inherit the kingdom of God, one is by a corruptible seed, and the other involves an incorruptible one. If you truly plan on inheriting the kingdom of God and spending your eternity with Him, then you will need to know the difference between the two seeds and realms. Many people begin in the Spirit and walk in the new life for a season, then revert back to their old fallen ways and thoughts, allowing themselves to be considered in the corruptible column again.

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (KJV)

Believe it or not, even Jesus of Nazareth had to be reborn of the Spirit; I mean after all, how else could He have lived a life without sin? That same Spirit of Christ, that incorruptible seed, was the leading and guiding factor in this man’s life as it should be in all those who desire to worship our Lord in Spirit and in truth. The Bible is very specific to point out that, if any man has not the Spirit of Christ then they are not considered one of His people.

1 Peter 1:22-23 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: (23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (KJV)

You know, when you see the word ‘pure’ mentioned throughout the Bible, one of the definitions is to be free from carnality. We all were born into this world of a corruptible seed, and for myself I know how easily swayed I was by the winds of doctrines, trying to find peace in a realm it does not exist in. It took a rebirth; allowing an incorruptible seed to spring forth and show me how to overcome my lower corrupt nature. Thus the importance of seeking first the kingdom of God on a daily basis so that you can keep your mind renewed in the realm of the incorruptible.

Romans 1:3-4 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; (4) And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (KJV)

Many seem to have a hard time comprehending the fact that even Jesus of Nazareth had a lower nature, born of a corruptible seed according to the flesh. But once you add Christ to the equation then you have access to an incorruptible seed that allows us to be more than conquerors through His love and sacrifice. Greater is He that is within me, that incorruptible seed, than he that is within the world, limited by the corruptible carnal mind.
