A Real Misfit
Proverbs 13:20-21 He that walketh with
wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. (21) Evil
pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed. (KJV)
You know Church, when reading through
your Bible and seeing the warnings being pointed out consistently
throughout the Word, keep in mind that this book is written for the Church,
because only the Church will be able to understand them. For many though,
they must think that this stuff is just written for the unbeliever, because
many ignore the warnings throughout the Word, and how God confirms His
message with at least two or three witnesses throughout His Word as well.
Proverbs 4:14-16 Enter not into the path
of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. (15) Avoid it, pass not
by it, turn from it, and pass away. (16) For they sleep not, except they
have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some
to fall. (KJV)
I have found for myself that some of the
places I used to go to early on in my walk with the Lord were just stepping
stones, a place that one would grow out of eventually. Looking back on some
of these places and doctrines, in the end I realized that they were more
self serving than a God serving. Many of these organizations, even though
they put God’s name on them, are not really teaching and preaching sound
doctrine, but rather looking to build up their name rather than the Lord’s.
Hey, the Lord Himself is very specific to warn us about the many false
prophets that would rise up and would deceive many; yes, not a few but many
being deceived.
Proverbs 14:7-9 Go from the presence of a
foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. (8) The
wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is
deceit. (9) Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is
favour. (KJV)
Again Church, why are you still trying to
fit in with a bunch of misfits? Rather than walking away from foolish
people preaching foolish doctrine many think that they have to try to fit
in with these people, just because they claim they are of God or a
Christian organization. Bottom line Church, whatsoever is not of faith is
sin; so if something is not sitting right with you Spiritually then move on
until you find peace again, period.
2 Timothy 2:23-26 But foolish and
unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. (24) And
the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to
teach, patient, (25) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the
truth; (26) And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the
devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (KJV)
Why are you getting into arguments and
petty strife’s? I will tell you why, because you are still hanging around a
bunch of foolish and petty people, trying to fit into their way of thinking,
which in reality makes you a misfit as far as the Lord is concerned.
