A Mirror Reflection
Proverbs 17:24-25 Wisdom is before him
that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the
earth. (25) A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her
that bare him. (KJV)
Have you seen these advertisements lately
that advertise pills for depression; how they claim it is a result of a
chemical imbalance? The eyes of a fool are in the earth; in other words
they have limited their love and affection to this realm and are ignoring
the Lord’s realm which is why they are depressed and without hope. You
wonder why in the past or maybe lately you haven’t been that excited about
your life, maybe a bit down and in the dumps? Maybe it is a reflection of
your walk with the Lord, not giving heed to His Word?
Proverbs 19:13 A foolish son is the
calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual
dropping. (KJV)
So how does our heavenly Father view your
life today; is it one of well done good and faithful servant, or is He
having a hard time even looking your way? Are you wondering why there is
not as much joy and peace in your walk lately as in the beginning of your
new life in Christ? Well, a foolish person obviously is giving more ear to
foolish doctrine rather than sound counsel from above. Keep in mind this
fact as well, with what measure we give out, that is what comes back our
way.
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go
your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for
whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye
sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (KJV)
You know, when the Lord has joy seeing
you as one of His walking in truth, well, that is measured back your way
also. Are you wondering why you don’t seem as strong as before, maybe you
have become a bit weak? Well it’s just a reflection of what you have been
to our Lord, weak in the faith, not getting built up and renewed in truth.
Proverbs 23:24-25 The father of the
righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall
have joy of him. (25) Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that
bare thee shall rejoice. (KJV)
When you found out the first time that
you were going to be a parent how did you envision your child; one of
wisdom and strength, or some deadbeat that couldn’t take care of himself
and never really ever grew up? Now looking honestly at your own walk with
the Lord, how does He see you today, and are you experiencing the joy of
the Lord which is your strength?
Lamentations 5:15-17 The joy of our heart
is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. (16) The crown is fallen from
our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! (17) For this our heart is
faint; for these things our eyes are dim. (KJV)
Many people begin in the Spirit but then
their foolish heart becomes darkened again by their own desires, seeking
more to please self than God. So today, honestly and openly before your
Father in heaven, what kind of wisdom are you giving ear to today, and whose
heart are you a mirror reflection of, foolish or joyful?
