Unseen Evidence

Hebrews 11:1-2 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (2) For by it the elders obtained a good report. (KJV)

Carnal people continue to look to carnal things to find peace and contentment. Given the fact that the Bible is quite specific to point out that the eyes of man are never satisfied, then it would be safe to say that the evidence of God’s existence is located in an unseen realm, well at least unseen to man.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV)

You know, when you began your walk with the Lord, when you were searching for truth and peace, you didn’t find it in the outward realm did you? So with that in mind, why do so many keep looking to the outward realm, even those that have been enlightened to the new unending realm that our Lord is pointing His people to? Your faith, your walk with the Lord, your only real substance will be found in the Spirit, not the flesh. The more you exercise your Spiritual senses and learn to ignore the outward realm, the more effective you will be in your walk with the Lord.

John 14:17-19 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (18) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (19) Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. (KJV)

Many people, and yes I will include many of God’s people, look for comfort; however, they keep getting pointed to the outward instead of the inward. This outward vision and way of seeing things should be perishing, so that you can learn to walk a new way according to your new Spiritual senses, the only real comfort you will ever find. Isn’t it comforting to know that we have access to this comfort; how about the fact that it is actually dwelling right inside of you, right now, this moment. So when a need arises is that the first place you seek to find your answer, or are you still looking elsewhere?

Hebrews 5:11-14 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. (12) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (KJV)

It is kind of interesting how the writer of Hebrews was able to see that the people were dull of hearing. It takes exercise and discipline if one desires to get healthy and strong in the physical, this same premise holds true spiritually. Do you know the difference between the milk of the Word and strong meat? Only if you have exercised your Spiritual senses and are looking more to the unseen realm than the outward one will you know.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)

The word ‘prove’ means to discern, which means to see or recognize clearly. A lot of people that claim they are Christians are still in the infant stage of their walk, even though they have spent many years in so called Christian organizations. Do you know where the real meat of the Word is and how to access it daily? Let me give you a hint; you won’t find it by your outward vision, but rather you will have to look to the unseen One, if you truly desire to grow and mature in Christ.
