You’ve Got Mail
Psalms 107:20-21 He sent his word, and
healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (21) Oh that men
would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the
children of men! (KJV)
The reason God sent His Son was so that
He could deliver a message, a way of escape and deliverance from our own
selves and our own self destructing ways. It has been said that those that
ignore history, history will have a tendency of repeating itself. Well, for
those that are in the realm of the flesh and their fallen natures, ignoring
God and His Word, we see that not only does mankind reap the same results
but as we see the end approaching it only gets worse and worse.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in
the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of
their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers,
false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (5) Having
a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (KJV)
Perilous times, means dangerous,
difficult; and for those that profess Christianity it is definitely a
narrow path being followed by fewer and fewer people. As verse 5 states,
there are many forms of godliness which come in many forms of religions and
denominations of man, which rather than give ear to the Lord’s way of
escape the truth itself has escaped them.
Romans 9:29-32 And as Esaias said before,
Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and
been made like unto Gomorrah. (30) What shall we say then? That the
Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to
righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. (31) But Israel,
which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law
of righteousness. (32) Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but
as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that
stumblingstone; (KJV)
You know, if it had not been for the God
sending His Son and a way of escape for mankind, mankind would have self
destructed and done itself in already. Remember what the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah
was? Well, look around today if you have any doubt about us being in the
end times; because as I look around today at what mankind calls alternative
lifestyles, those that ignore the history of God’s Word are in for a rude
awakening when history repeats itself and they end up to be history. Our
seed is Christ, and those that are in right standing with Him are not only
giving ear to His Word but they are being doers of it as well; while many
others are stumbling and falling for cheap imitations.
Genesis 6:5-7 And GOD saw that the
wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (6) And it repented the
LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (7)
And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of
the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of
the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. (KJV)
When you look back to the beginning you
see that God decided that it was time to do some housecleaning, it grieved
His heart because this mankind He created did not give ear to His way of
escape from this present evil world, but rather it was promoted and spread
like a plague. Basically, had God not did what He did with the flood and
starting over again, mankind, the way they were going would have ended up
self destructing to the point that we would not be here today sharing the
way of escape ourselves. Remember what our Lord said comparing the last
days we live in, how similar it would be to the days of Noah? Mankind today
is on a slippery slope to hell, ignoring the warnings that our Lord has provided
through His Word so that we could be delivered from our own destructive
lifestyles.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 For the mystery of
iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way. (8) And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the
Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming: (KJV)
You know, there is another flood coming
soon, that being a flood of ungodliness and destruction to those that
ignore God. Just like with the days of Noah, the only thing holding back
the dam from breaking is a few believers in Christ, who are still holding
to His message of faith and deliverance. There is going to be some
housecleaning taking place again real soon Church, God intervening before
mankind completely destroys themselves. Once the Church is taken out of the
way, all hell will break loose for those that did not give heed to the
warning and find His way of escape from this present evil world.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to
come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption
draweth nigh. (KJV)
Where are you looking to find the true
way of escape; will you look above and seek those things that are in the
heavenly realm, or will you be stuck below with the rest of mankind who
thinks they can figure their way out of their own destruction that they
brought upon themselves? You’ve got mail Church; a Spiritual delivery man
was sent personally to your house so that He could stamp your ticket and
show you the way of deliverance.
