Let My People Know

Exodus 10:3-4 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me. (4) Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast: (KJV)

You as child of God are not only required to hear His voice, but then to go out and act upon it, being an example of the believers in Christ, not only in word but in deed as well. You as a child of God should know for yourself His plan of salvation that He has for you personally, and how you can escape a life of sin and hardship, and walk in a new way of life that our Lord intended for you to walk in.

John 8:29-32 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. (30) As he spake these words, many believed on him. (31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; (32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV)

When you go back and read the accounts that took place in the book of Exodus, you see the Lord didn’t abandon or leave His people, but rather continued pointing them in the direction that they needed to be going in, confirming His Word with signs for them to follow. Spiritually, as you step out in faith as well, the Lord will not leave you nor forsake you, but rather His desire for your life is to know His truth that sets you free and keeps you free from the bondage that you were delivered from. How would you like to be able to make the statement that our Lord made in verse 29, knowing that you too are always doing those things that are pleasing to our Father? Well learning to be faithful in small areas, things that we think are trivial, will lead to bigger things and more confidence as we step into this new realm.

Jeremiah 2:13-14 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. (14) Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled? (KJV)

You know, God sends His people out into a barren land, one that is drying up like a desert, to bring living waters to a dying people. But what good are you going to be if by the time you show up with the cisterns they are empty and full of holes? You need to know the truth and then keep it, hang onto it, not letting it spill out or allow the enemy to poke holes in it and get you to start doubting the deliverance and good work God has begun in you.

Luke 11:27-28 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. (28) But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. (KJV)

A lot of people hear the truth, and will even endure for a season, but the truth be known only those that will endure to the end will actually be saved. You can go back and see where even Pharaoh himself was able to avoid more heartache and frustration by letting the people go, only to be destroyed by forgetting the counsel of God. Many of God’s people are like that as well; they begin in the Spirit but then forget who it was that set them free, and end up in worse shape than they were in the beginning of their walk.

Proverbs 3:13-18 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. (14) For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. (15) She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. (16) Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. (17) Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. (18) She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. (KJV)

As you go out from the bondage of your old life and follow a new path that leads to your eternal promised land, you will find many distractions, things the enemy tries to put in that path to get you detoured and thrown off course. You have access to the tree of life; that being Christ who is our life, so that you can grasp hold of and hold fast to His profession of faith without wavering. However, if you decide to grasp hold of something carnal, a cheap imitation of what our Lord has for you, then you will have to let go of the truth in order to grab onto these things.

Hebrews 3:14-16 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; (15) While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. (16) For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. (KJV)

It’s not those that begin the race that will be crowned, it’s those that endure to the end of it that will receive their reward of eternal inheritance. The path home is paved by many of those that had good intentions; however, only a few will really hold God to His word and make it to the end.

Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (KJV)

God’s people are those that know the difference between what is good and what is evil. God’s people are those that have now learned to walk by faith, their Spiritual senses, by ignoring and not allowing their carnal ones to have more of an influence. Let my people go and let them know the truth, so that God’s people no longer have to perish because of a lack of knowledge; but rather exhort one another daily in the truth that sets and keeps us free.
