Who Is A Liar?
Revelation 21:7-8 He that overcometh
shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (8)
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their
part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second
death. (KJV)
Why is it important to know and identify
a liar? Well, so that you don’t stand before our Lord as one who fits that
category because as we see, you will have to depart for a lakeside view,
and one that is not pleasant to say the least. The Lord gave us the ability
to be overcomers not underachievers; like His Word says “I can do all
things through Christ who strengthens me”. So basically the truth is that
without Him I can do nothing, nothing that would benefit me or grant me
access into His eternal realm.
1 John 2:21-23 I have not written unto
you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie
is of the truth. (22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the
Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (23) Whosoever
denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth
the Son hath the Father also. (KJV)
As we see, it’s those that know the truth
that are set free from the lies and deceptions of the enemy. We also see
quite explicitly, that those that deny or reject that Jesus is the Christ
are referred as antichrist, a liar, and rejecting the truth of God. I have
seen and heard many that teach and preach about a man named Jesus, and
their perception of truth is based on the outward man. However, I know of
few who have gone beyond the veil of the flesh to see the inner workings of
the hidden man within Him, that being Christ the Son of God. Of these two,
God has made one new man who is seated at the right hand of the Father to
make a new man out of you also. This new man the Lord desires to see you
grow up into is Christ in you your only hope of glory. So again, when I
hear so many teach and end their prayers in the name of Jesus only it makes
me wonder why they would leave out the complete name, the name that would
make them complete also.
Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man
spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (9) For in him
dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (10) And ye are complete in
him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV)
You know, when the Bible says that you
are complete in Him then that would mean you are not a liar, but have the
complete answer our Lord is seeking. Please take notice of the fact that
once again, it involves Christ who is the Head of the Church, someone who
should definitely not be denied or rejected and kept out of their
teachings.
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all,
and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole. (11) This is the stone which was
set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (12)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
You know, we serve a God who doesn’t lie,
and who said He cannot lie. So when seeking an answer to prayer, or looking
to get built up in His word of truth, then why not use a name which is
above every name so that you won’t be considered a liar? If you held more
to God and let Him be true, then you would be able to quickly identify the
doctrines of man, and know that it is the fallen man that is the liar.
1 John 4:1-4 Beloved, believe not every
spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false
prophets are gone out into the world. (2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of
God: (3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye
have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (4)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is
he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV)
We are not talking about a few false
teachers, liars is another way of describing these doctrines, but rather
many; you know, the many that were called? If the teaching doesn’t involve
Christ, if His name and doctrine is left out and rejected, then they are in
opposition to His truth, that simple. Do you desire to know the truth? Then
you need to rely on someone greater, and that greater is within you, Christ
the rock that your building needs to be built on, and the only name that
will keep you built up and established in the faith.
2 John 1:7-11 For many deceivers are
entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (8) Look to yourselves, that
we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full
reward. (9) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath
both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not
this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
(11) For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (KJV)
So who is a liar? Well if it is not the
doctrine of Christ, if He and His name is left out and rejected in their
teachings and prayers, then according to the Word they will be left out and
rejected also. Don’t be like the many that have fallen for a cheap
imitation of the truth, but rather hold fast your profession of faith in
Christ and don’t waver.
1 Timothy 2:5-7 For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave
himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (7) Whereunto I am
ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie
not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. (KJV)
As we see, Paul knew the truth and who
was involved in that truth. Is Jesus Christ truly the only way, the only truth,
and the only life, and do you know that no man can come to the Father but
by Him? If not, then you may be considered a liar as well.
