Getting A Head In Life
1 Peter 2:4-7 To whom coming, as unto a
living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, (5)
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ. (6) Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay
in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him
shall not be confounded. (7) Unto you therefore which believe he is
precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders
disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, (KJV)
All this week we have been discussing the
foundation, the chief corner stone of one’s salvation that makes them
strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Knowing who is the Head of
the Church, or as we see above the chief corner stone, will allow you to
grow and move ahead in your walk with the Lord also. All this week we have
seen, whether it was a name revealed to Peter, a stone or rock of our
salvation, it all involves one man, one name, that being Jesus Christ. If
you know Christ then you know God and you are known of Him as well, which
puts you in good standing with Him, and allows you to stand on a firm Spiritual
unmovable foundation. If you don’t have this Head stone in place then you
will not be able to move ahead in your walk either, but rather your labor
will be in vain, useless and without the results our Lord intended for your
life.
Psalms 118:22-23 The stone which the
builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. (23) This is the
LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (KJV)
When the Lord does something it is truly
an eye opener to say the least. The only problem is that many don’t see it,
because this is now taking place in the realm of the Spirit, and many have
been blinded by their own carnal limited versions and interpretations of
the Word. But to those who know the Lord and are able to see beyond the
veil of the flesh, they see a marvelous work that Lord has begun in them
and continues to do, because they have allowed Him and His word to be the Head
of their temple.
Ephesians 1:17-19 That the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your understanding
being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and
what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (19) And
what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power, (KJV)
Do you desire to move ahead in your walk
with the Lord? Then you will need to know who the Head of the Church is so
that you can see the path of life He has laid out for you to walk in. Keep
in mind that this path is Spiritual, and so are those that realize what a
marvelous work the Lord has done on our behalf so that we could walk in His
Spirit and no longer be in bondage to the flesh and its fallen ways. Have
you tapped into this source of power; do you truly believe and realize all
the spiritual blessings you have been blessed with in Christ, or do you
still think you can get ahead in the things of this fallen realm?
Ephesians 1:20-23 Which he wrought in
Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand
in the heavenly places, (21) Far above all principality, and power, and
might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world,
but also in that which is to come: (22) And hath put all things under his
feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, (23) Which
is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. (KJV)
Do you desire results which are above and
beyond all that you could have ever thought or asked for? Then why not look
above and see who the Head of the Church is; someone that fulfills all the
desires of our heart, the one and only who can fill that Spiritual void in
your life. For many, sad to say, they begin in the Spirit but then think
they can perfect their walk with the Lord in the flesh; and rather than
moving ahead in their walk they fall away and end up in a ditch. As long as
you allow Christ to be the Head of your temple you will not fall, but
rather you will operate in a newness of life above and beyond anything you
could have ever thought or imagined was possible in that you believe.
Ephesians 2:20-22 And are built upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the
chief corner stone; (21) In whom all the building fitly framed together
groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: (22) In whom ye also are builded
together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (KJV)
The apostles and prophets that God has
used to inspire His people, those that penned the scriptures through the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit, do you know where they are now and how they
got there? They all had one thing in common, they all wrote about the one
stone, the Rock, the only name that we could build upon, Christ Jesus, our
only way to the throne of God. Do you know those who are not considered a
part of the family of God and what name they are identified as? That would
be antichrist, those that rejected the chief corner stone, the Head of the Church.
Do you desire to move to the head of the class someday so that you can
spend eternity with God? Then in order to move ahead you need to know who
the Head is in order for this to be possible.
Ephesians 5:23-27 For the husband is the
head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the
saviour of the body. (24) Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. (25) Husbands,
love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it; (26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by
the word, (27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not
having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and
without blemish. (KJV)
For those who know the truth, and the
order that God set for His church and how it operates, they will continue
in the faith moving ahead in their walk so that someday the Lord Himself
will embrace them as one of His, and allow them access into their eternal
inheritance. In other words, they got a Head in life. God bless and keep
moving forward.
