Body Of Believers
John 3:3-7 Jesus answered and said unto
him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God. (4) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born
when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be
born? (5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (6)
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit. (7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born
again. (KJV)
As we can see, as a member and a citizen
of heaven, when one speaks of things from their country it can be as a
foreign language to those that are not familiar with the customs of this
country. You too will find that as a believer in Christ the message that you
deliver may get misunderstood because those who are hearing it are not
really able to hear the true meaning of the message, but rather they are
still hung up with the literal sense of the Word. As ridiculous as it might
have sounded to Nicodemus to think that in order to see the things of God
he would have to re-enter into his mother’s womb and be reborn, how much
more ridiculous is it today when looking around and seeing people who think
the body of Christ has anything to do with eating a wafer of bread? As a true
believer in Christ it is important that you hear His message of faith and
know what the Spiritual implications of His Word is, so that you can have a
complete understanding of His Word and how to be a true representative of
His kingdom.
Ephesians 1:17-21 That the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his
calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
(19) And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power, (20) Which he wrought in
Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand
in the heavenly places, (21) Far above all principality, and power, and
might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world,
but also in that which is to come: (KJV)
You know, there is a name which carries a
lot of weight, not only in this realm but in the heavenly one as well. Do
you know the name which is above every name? It’s a real eye opener;
because as vital as your eyesight is in this physical realm, it is
important that your spiritual eyes are opened and enlightened to the things
of God, so that you can know the Spiritual meaning and context of His Word.
Those that are truly reborn into the realm of the Spirit know this name. Just
as you were familiar with your family name here on earth, it is vital to
know the family name in heaven as well if you truly desire to remain a
citizen, and in good standing in your new environment.
Mark 4:11-13 And he said unto them, Unto
you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them
that are without, all these things are done in parables: (12) That seeing
they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand;
lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be
forgiven them. (13) And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and
how then will ye know all parables? (KJV)
Unto us, a body of believers, it is given
for us to know and not just have to guess what the mystery of the kingdom
of God is and how to rightly divide His Word of truth. The reason is, so
that when you study the Word you won’t misconstrue the true meaning of it,
the Spiritual meaning, with your own carnal interpretations. A mystery is
something hidden; like with Nicodemus, it was hidden because of his limited
carnal mind; it is something that can only be revealed by Christ and having
an understanding of His mind.
Ephesians 3:2-5 If ye have heard of the
dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: (3) How
that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in
few words, (4) Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the
mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons
of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the
Spirit; (KJV)
You know, this mystery has been hidden,
kept under a wrap, or should I say a veil. But as we see, this mystery is
something ready to be revealed, so that hearing we may now hear and
understand, and seeing we may now see and perceive the true meaning and Spiritual
interpretation of the Word. Now that you are a fellow citizen and member of
a body of believers in Christ, are you able to see what has been hidden so
that you can know personally for yourself what the mystery of the gospel is?
Colossians 2:1-3 For I would that ye knew
what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as
many as have not seen my face in the flesh; (2) That their hearts might be
comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full
assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God,
and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge. (KJV)
You know, the true body of believers are
easily identified because they are the ones who know and are no longer
guessing what the Word of God says, and how to operate effectively in His
realm. The true body of believers know the language of their new country
and are able to deliver the message from above effectively without doubt or
fear. Have you tapped into this treasure chest of wisdom and knowledge from
above, or are you still on the outside, locked out and unable to find the
key?
Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of
power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret
since the world began, (26) But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures
of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made
known to all nations for the obedience of faith: (KJV)
The true body of believers know for
themselves what the revelation of the mystery is and how to access God through
His Son. In fact the true body is known by a name, thus the reason why we
are referred to as the body of Christ. A false body of believers has a name
also which is known by the spirit of antichrist, that spirit which would
like to hinder and keep the true believers from accessing all that is
available to them in Christ. If our Lord was to ask you what the name of
His body is, would you know for sure what the name is and that you are a
part of the true body of believers?
