A New Name
1 Corinthians 15:45-47 And so it is
written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made
a quickening spirit. (46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (47) The
first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
(KJV)
Paul makes the distinction and is
pointing out the fact that the first man was carnal and fell, while the
second man was Spiritual in nature and able to stand. The second man from
heaven was sent our way to deliver us from this death sentence, brought on
us by this first man, so that we could have a second opportunity to have
fellowship with God restored, and brought back to life. Do you know this
new name that is given to us so that we can now access the Father? I am not
talking about a partial answer either, but a complete name that will give
you the complete victory that you have been given by the Son who delivered
you from your destruction.
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all,
and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole. (11) This is the stone which was
set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (12)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
There is no other name that accurately
describes the first man, that being Jesus, and Christ referring to the
second man or the Lord from heaven that was leading and guiding this man.
In fact the Bible is crystal clear in the fact that there is absolutely no
other name given under heaven by which you will find salvation, your way of
escape and deliverance from this present evil world. Yet with this in mind,
how many of God’s own people are not aware of this; how many are still kept
in the dark and do not give an accurate complete account of who and what
got them access into the kingdom of God?
1 John 2:20-23 But ye have an unction
from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (21) I have not written unto you
because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is
of the truth. (22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the
Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (23)
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that
acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (KJV)
In football, when the quarterback
attempts to throw a forward pass and it doesn’t get caught then it is
referred to as being incomplete. For those that are attempting to move forward
in their walk with the Lord and the new life He has provided through a new
name from above, their walk too could be accurately described as incomplete
as well. You know when you deny the name of Christ or as many do, leave it
out of their prayers and teachings, you are getting sacked and thrown for a
loss also. Many of God’s people are ever learning things but just never
come to a complete knowledge of who they are in Christ because they are
blinded to the realm of the Spirit. The enemy that influences and leads in
this down fall is known as antichrist, keeping them in the dark concerning
that second man from heaven that was sent, who is in reality the Lord
Himself, ouch.
Colossians 2:6-10 As ye have therefore
received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: (7) Rooted and built up
in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding
therein with thanksgiving. (8) Beware lest any man spoil you through
philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments
of the world, and not after Christ. (9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness
of the Godhead bodily. (10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head
of all principality and power: (KJV)
You know, God sent us a second
quarterback so to speak, because the first one got knocked out of the game
because of sin. This second one that was sent from heaven has thrown a pass
to mankind, looking to see who will catch on to His name, the complete one,
that will make them complete as well. A lot of carnal people are able to
see a man named Jesus, but only a few are catching on to the fact that the
answer was within Him and they now need to learn who Christ is to come to a
complete understanding.
Galatians 1:10-12 For do I now persuade
men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should
not be the servant of Christ. (11) But I certify you, brethren, that the
gospel which was preached of me is not after man. (12) For I neither
received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus
Christ. (KJV)
Paul received his answer from a new
source which revealed a new name that was given from above. Once he decided
to quit trying to please other people, like the Jews who were more caught
up in the outward rituals of the old law, he then received the message of
truth being delivered by God through Christ. Are you catching on and
holding to this new name from above, this revelation that is being revealed
so that you can know for yourself this new realm you now have access to?
Ephesians 3:3-5 How that by revelation he
made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4)
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of
Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as
it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV)
You know, there is not much of a mystery
to the first man Jesus, in fact many could tell you accurately that he was
the son of a carpenter, Mary was his mother, and he also had numerous
brothers and sisters. But, few though have come to an understanding or a
knowledge of the mystery of Christ, that second man from heaven sent to
give us access to a new realm in the Spirit, by a new name. Do you know the
new name; the complete name that will make you complete, or is something
missing in your walk with the Lord, or maybe you are missing the most
important part of the equation?
1 Corinthians 15:22-23 For as in Adam all
die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (23) But every man in his
own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his
coming. (KJV)
Go back through the New Testament and
look at the word ‘revelation’ and see what new name was being revealed to
God’s people. Then, as you are going through the Word ask yourself this
question, why is the enemy described as antichrist and not antijesus? Do
you desire a new life in the Spirit? Then why not try a new approach by a
new name that will get you into that realm? God bless and keep seeking; and
don’t quit until you find out for yourself.
