What The Spirit Says

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (KJV)

You know, there are certain conditions, certain things that the Lord requires of His people if they are truly going to be allowed access into heaven. The Lord expects His people to walk in victory, to be overcomers and not to be overcome by the enemy any longer.

Matthew 4:1-4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. (2) And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. (3) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. (4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (KJV)

How do you respond in situations that you encounter daily; do you seek the wisdom that is from above, or are you still wrestling with flesh and blood, and getting a bit bloodied in the process? Jesus of Nazareth was the first man born again into the realm of the Spirit so that He could demonstrate how we could be led by the Spirit of Christ, and allow the Son of God to work through us also. Your victory, your walk with the Lord, will only work if you let this same Spirit lead and guide you also, and provide the answer that you need in order for you to be an overcomer and not an underachiever.

Revelation 3:5-6 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV)

You know, the Lord is a bit picky about who He allows into His house. You wouldn’t let a thief into your house, let alone a stranger who you were not familiar with and neither will our Lord. However, when you show up some day before His great white throne of judgment, only His people who walked His path that He ordained for them before the foundation of the world will still be found written in His book, while all others will be erased. I don’t care how good you started out in your walk with the Lord, and how on fire you were for the things of His realm in the beginning, it’s only those that continue in the faith and continue to be overcomers that will be allowed access into their eternal reward.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (KJV)

The Spirit is speaking, and according to the Bible that would be now; you know, like now is the day of salvation, now is the time to give ear to the message from above? There are a lot of wacky doctrines, so called faiths, blowing like the wind and uprooting those who are not grounded and settled in the Word of God. If you are giving ear to what the Spirit is speaking now, then upon your arrival at the day of judgment you will find your name is written and being confessed before our Father in heaven.

Revelation 3:20-22 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV)

It takes spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit is speaking; now the question becomes will you be open to the message? What it comes down to is this, that you need to open the door and let the Lord into your life, and let Him remain in your life if you desire for Him to open the door and let you into His eternal realm also. What goes around comes around, and my prayer today is that you don’t try to do an end run around the Lord and His truth.

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (KJV)

The Spirit is speaking, are your ears open? He is knocking so that you will let Him in to show you the victory that you have in His realm. After all, who better could you think of to be leading and guiding you out of this fallen realm than someone who has already run this race victoriously, and is now seated in victory lane?

Revelation 21:7-8 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (KJV)

Quit making excuses, because there is no excuse that will stand before our Father in heaven. With all that has been done and made available to you this day, is there any reason or something that you think is more important than listening to what the Spirit says?
