A Fallen World
Isaiah 14:12-15 How art thou fallen from
heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground,
which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I
will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I
will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the
north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like
the most High. (15) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of
the pit. (KJV)
You know, when the devil and his
followers fell, guess where they landed? Yup, right here on planet earth,
this place that is now described as the world. As we see the angel known as
Lucifer was at one time in good standing in the kingdom of God, but pride
came before his fall, which is what happens to anyone who thinks they know
more than our Lord Himself.
Luke 10:17-19 And the seventy returned
again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through
thy name. (18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from
heaven. (19) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any
means hurt you. (KJV)
Just because others have fallen doesn’t
mean that you need to fall anymore for the lies and deceptions of the enemy;
rather, you have the power and ability through Christ to do the treading,
and no longer be the one tread upon. Despite the fact that the devil and
his angels landed in this realm and know that they only have a short time
before they will be cast into the lake of fire, you need to realize the
victory that you have in Christ and hold to it.
Revelation 12:3-5 And there appeared
another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads
and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. (4) And his tail drew the
third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the
dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to
devour her child as soon as it was born. (5) And she brought forth a man
child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was
caught up unto God, and to his throne. (KJV)
Kaboom, that’s the sound of the thump that
the devil and his angel made when they landed on their backside. That’s the
place you need to keep him, so that the Lord can have more of an influence
on you than those fallen angels that prey on the world. The enemy knew
enough of the plan of salvation, that even though mankind fell, God’s plan
of salvation and reconciliation would come through a man, except this man
would be led by the Spirit of Christ, that second man from heaven.
1 Peter 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking
whom he may devour: (9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the
same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (KJV)
Get used to it people, the more you walk
with the Lord the more you to will experience opposition; the question is
will you learn to be overcomers, or will you fall for the cheap hoaxes of
someone that fell for it himself? Are you being stedfast in the faith; you
know, holding that shield of faith up and blocking those fiery darts, or are
you getting hit in the vitals?
Ezekiel 22:25-27 There is a conspiracy of
her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey;
they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things;
they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. (26) Her priests have
violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no
difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed
difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from
my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. (27) Her princes in the midst
thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy
souls, to get dishonest gain. (KJV)
Remember, our Lord was quite specific to
warn us about the many false prophets that would arise, and those many are
now deceiving many. With the power, the strength, and all that is available
to us through Christ this day there is no excuse or reason why you have to
fall from grace; rather, continue rising up in a new life, and take your
place up where the devil and his angels decided to vacate.
Ephesians 2:1-2 And you hath he
quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; (2) Wherein in time past
ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of
the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of
disobedience: (KJV)
The enemy is not a happy camper, and that
old term misery likes company applies aptly here. We are surrounded by a
fallen world, by many that have fallen for the lies of popular opinions and
doctrines of man rather than seeking truth and letting the truth of God’s Word
set them free.
2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get
an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. (KJV)
Ignorance is not bliss; so keep your Spiritual
senses exercised and you won’t fall from grace in a fallen realm.
