What Should I Speak?

John 12:48-50 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (49) For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. (50) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (KJV)

Are the words that you speak in line with what Our Father is speaking? Because anything contrary to sound doctrine is idle, and it’s all those idle words that we speak is what we will have to give an account of. Jesus Christ was given a commandment, what to speak; and because He sought the approval from above, He is now seated in that realm because of it. Did you know that God has a commandment concerning what you should be speaking of as well? Because if you do, then it will bring life to you and those around you that hear words that are Spirit and life.

1 John 3:22-24 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (23) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (24) And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. (KJV)

Do you wonder at times if your prayer requests are being heard, let alone answered? The Lord gives us a simple commandment which spells out who we should believe in and what name He goes by. If any man has not the Spirit of Christ, a working knowledge of who the Son of God is and His name that gets us access to the throne of God, then they are none of His. Again the point is made, why is it the spirit of antichrist and not antijesus, or any other name? The Lord has given us a simple commandment of what we should be speaking; is there any reason why you shouldn’t be using the name of Christ in your prayers? Remember what our Lord said if we denied Him? Yup, by leaving His name out of your prayers and teachings that would put you in a state of denial, which will leave your name out of His book of life, would it not?

Luke 24:45-47 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (46) And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: (47) And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (KJV)

That same man Jesus Christ which opened the understanding of the scriptures to the disciples is the same person we should be seeking to get a personal understanding of them as well. Again, quite clearly we notice a simple commandment of what we the believer should be speaking and the name we should be speaking it in. No wonder the enemy comes under the title of antichrist, because if he can keep Christ on the outside and not mentioned then it keeps those that are seeking on the outside, and their prayer requests will not be mentioned either before the throne of God.

2 Corinthians 4:3-6 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. (6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (KJV)

As we go along through the scriptures are you able to see a common denominator, something or should I say someone that ties it all together? You know, if your eye, or vision, is single then it enlightens you to a new realm, one where our Lord operates and would like to see His people operating in more as well. This light should be the gospel of Christ, the teaching of who we are in Christ that will illuminate the path of life so that we won’t perish for lack of Spiritual knowledge. Is this the light that is lighting you today so that you can know the Word for yourself and speak those things that you should be speaking?

2 Corinthians 2:10-12 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; (11) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. (12) Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, (KJV)

Paul knew who the one mediator is between God and man, and his writings spell out clearly the name he knew he should be speaking in. Whenever you desire to bring your requests before the throne of God, you should be speaking in the person of Christ as well, knowing the name above all names that will get you access to His throne. You know, we as Christians, those that are Christ like, are the ones that have the advantage, and should not be taken advantage of by the enemy. You have access to the name that is above all names, that being Jesus Christ, and what an advantage it is to those that know Him. We see once again that the more Paul would teach and preach in His name, the more opposition would come from the enemy’s camp in the form of antichrist. You know, if you speak the way you should, the way the Lord commanded, then the enemy should not get a foothold or an occasion to cause you to stumble again, but rather you should continue forward in victory, triumphing over the wicked one.

Ephesians 3:4-6 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (6) That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: (KJV)

Again, what does the gospel speak to us, and what name should we be speaking as well. Paul wrote that the mystery is in Christ. While many today still teach and preach in the name of Jesus, knowing him to be the carpenters son, few are teaching the name of Christ, which continues to be a mystery to those that still have their spiritual blinders on.

Ephesians 3:8-12 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (10) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, (11) According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (12) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. (KJV)

Paul knew what he should speak, and in whose name he should speak it. Wow, to have access to the manifold wisdom of God, along with some boldness and confidence. No wonder the enemy would be described as antichrist, so that those who should be partaking of this fellowship are kept on the outside with spiritual blinders on not knowing this mystery. Do you know what you should be speaking, and whose name you should be speaking in for yourself? We are either with Him or against Him.
