Binding Arbitration
Matthew 16:16-19 And Simon Peter answered
and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus
answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and
blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18)
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (19) And
I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou
shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (KJV)
When you bind something it means to
prohibit; when something is loosed it means to set free. The Lord had asked
the disciples two questions, first who does man say that I am? Then He
asked who do you say that I am? As we see Peter was able to give the
response our Lord was seeking, because the response that he gave was from
above, the truth that sets us free and keeps us free indeed. It is upon
this revelation that the church of God is built and founded upon, and it is
the key that allows you access into the inner workings of our Lord. Once one
is able to see and understand the mystery of the gospel it unlocks a
treasure chest of wisdom and knowledge from above, which then allows the
Lord to do exceeding and abundantly above all that we could ever ask or
think. With this revelation comes a new knowledge that gives you the wisdom
to keep the enemy bound and kept in his place (that being the lower realm
where he belongs), and no longer having an influence on you the believer in
Christ and His name which is above all names.
Matthew 12:35-37 A good man out of the
good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out
of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. (36) But I say unto you,
That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof
in the day of judgment. (37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and
by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (KJV)
By your words; out of the abundance of
your heart you will either be speaking words that are Spirit and are
bringing forth life or you will be speaking words that are more carnal in
nature, bringing forth strife. You have the choice, the ability as a new
creation in Christ to loose all His power and authority into your life, or
bind Him from working on your behalf which can be as simple as one negative
word. That same choice can loose the enemy and allow him access back into
your life if you give ear to the lie, and then speak in agreement with it,
you know like the term double minded, unstable? In the end, your eternal
entrance into the kingdom of God will be determined by how much you allowed
Christ and His Word to influence your walk, by what you talk. It comes down
to the fact that the revelation of Christ is what got you into the kingdom
of God, and it is holding fast to the doctrine of Christ that will keep you
in good standing with God.
Proverbs 4:23-27 Keep thy heart with all
diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (24) Put away from thee a
froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. (25) Let thine eyes
look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. (26) Ponder
the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. (27) Turn not to
the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. (KJV)
Are you pondering the path you are on
today, making sure it is sound footing? For those that have ever gone out
on frozen water, they will proceed slowly to make sure it is safe and
secure. For all those in Christ, they need to make sure they are still on
good footing, a solid foundation, the Spiritual rock, so that they can stay
in good standing with God and continue to speak words that bring life. Out
of your heart you will be speaking; which is either going to bind the devil
and his lies from being an influence in your walk or you will bind the Lord
from working on your behalf because of the words you speak contrary to
sound doctrine.
Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my
words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. (21) Let them not depart from
thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. (22) For they are life
unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (KJV)
Without a vision the people perish; in
fact the Lord said His own people perish for lack of knowledge. Many times
the Christian will speak out words without thinking, before they realize what
they are saying, and then wonder why their walk with the Lord has come to a
stand still. Do you really believe and know that with God all things are
possible, or have you spent more time giving ear to the impossible, which
is the realm of the enemy, and one he would like to see God’s people bound
up in?
Proverbs 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth
and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. (KJV)
The word ‘keep’ refers to guard, which is
what the peace of God should be doing to your heart, guarding your heart
and mind like a shield. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; so
again, we can either loose the Word of God in our life, and let it set us
free or we can loose the enemy with our words and end up bound on a path
that leads to destruction. We are
either with the Lord or we are against Him; and if we choose to walk with
the Lord then He gives us access to all His treasures of His infinite
wisdom and knowledge which is in Christ.
Revelation 3:6-8 He that hath an ear, let
him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (7) And to the angel of
the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he
that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man
shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (8) I know thy works: behold, I
have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a
little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (KJV)
The key that is spoken of is Spiritual,
which opens the door and allows you access into the kingdom of God. God has
an open door policy to those that desire to worship Him in Spirit and in
truth, which sets them free and keeps them free indeed. The key again is
keeping His Word, holding fast your profession of faith without wavering,
by keeping the revelation of the mystery of Christ and not denying His
name. As we see again, the revelation of Christ is what gets us this access
in the beginning of our walk, and it is holding to this that will keep the
door of communication open between us and God through His Son Christ Jesus
our mediator.
Colossians 2:2-4 That their hearts might
be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full
assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God,
and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge. (4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you
with enticing words. (KJV)
Many claim to have the key to success,
but only one key will unlock a Spiritual door and give us access to an
eternal reward. Do you have that key, do you know what it is, or should I
say who is holding it? We have a binding arbitrator in the heavenly realm
seated at the right hand of the Father, waiting with open arms to give you
access to an eternal treasure. The question today is, ‘will you let Him
loose so He can work on your behalf?’
