Take A Seat

Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (KJV)

So let’s take a look and see what we have in the above verses. You in your past life, before your conversion, lived a life of confusion, doubt, misery and heartache. The enemy basically had you where he wanted you, confined to the things of this fallen realm and unable to see the victory God made available. Then one day, you become enlightened to an entirely new and powerful realm located in a heavenly place in Christ; and now you wonder why you became a target of the enemy? Given the fact that the spiritual is so much greater than the physical realm, along with the blessing will come some resistance, because like in a game of football, the closer you get to the goal the more the defense will stack up and try to put a stop to your entrance. You know Church, the true blessings, anything that has any real substance, is located above and not in the things of this fallen realm. God chose to give any and all that would call upon His name access to all these blessings in Christ; now it is a matter of hearing and seeing for yourself all that you have been blessed with in His realm.

Ephesians 2:4-6 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (KJV)

Hey folks, Christ was raised from the dead and then seated at the right hand of our Father. You know, you too were raised up and allowed to be seated with Him in a heavenly place so that you could hear God’s personal message of love that He has for you, and so that you can walk in the blessings He provided for you to walk in. Have you taken your seat in a heavenly place today; you know, spending some time in prayer and studying the Word so that you can see what is taking place above and not be entangled with these things which are below? Do you really realize what a real blessing it is to be able to sit with our Lord and to hear how to be victorious in our walk, the same victory He walked in? If so, then you wouldn’t be so caught up in the things of this life and distracted with silly pettiness that has nothing to do with your eternal salvation.

Ephesians 6:11-13 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (KJV)

Hey, do you see where the enemy has his troops lined up, trying to put up a resistance? Yeah, it’s up there in a heavenly place, one he does not like seeing God’s people accessing and sitting still in to hear the message of God being delivered by Christ. So do you still wonder why there is resistance, or a fiery trial at times? You are not going to let some cheap lies of the enemy keep you from accessing your rightful place in the body of Christ, or keep you from hearing the message He has for you today, are you? Then be ready, prepared, and take unto you the whole armor of God so that you can be whole and complete in Him lacking nothing.

Ephesians 3:8-12 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (10) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, (11) According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (12) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. (KJV)

In conclusion today, as we see, there is a lot going on in the heavenly realm, a lot of things described as blessings, even unsearchable riches, things that you won’t find in this fallen realm, but are readily revealed to those in the heavenly one. There sure is a lot going on up in this heavenly realm; a place where I can find what the eternal purpose is for my life as well as some boldness, access, and confidence; because I now put my faith in Christ and not in what I can see anymore in this realm. But along the way you will encounter some resistance from the enemy, and it is up to you to let those principalities and powers that are in the heavenly realm that are trying to keep you from accessing all these blessings of who you are in Christ to step aside, because you are going to take your seat with Christ and not be moved away from the hope of the gospel. Have you taken your seat with Christ today, or have you let the enemy give you the boot?
