Power To The People
Luke 10:17-19 And the seventy returned
again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through
thy name. (18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from
heaven. (19) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any
means hurt you. (KJV)
Have you ever looked at your insurance
policy, or how about your medical plan you have at work? Do you take the
time to look through the policy and see what is covered and how it works,
or do you wait until there is a serious issue and then decide to look into
the matter? Have you taken the time to look through your Spiritual policy
to see and hear all that is afforded to you as a Christian, a believer in
Christ? Well, remember your life before your conversion, where you were the
one being tread on by the enemy and all his cheap deceptions? Now you have
the power available any time you need it to be the one doing the treading
on and not the other way around. It is vital that you know that name, and how
to use it properly when praying so that you can utilize all the rights and
authority God provided for His people in His Word. Remember we serve a God
that cannot lie, so if you are living in fear and doubt, if you are the one
being the doormat for the enemy, then it is time to re-read your policy and
to get the area that caused a breach in the communication between you and
Lord fixed, ASAP.
Romans 1:15-17 So, as much as in me is, I
am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. (16) For I am
not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek. (17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to
faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (KJV)
That name Paul preached in, the one where
he found there was real power, was not in a big denomination, it wasn’t
found in the religious organizations, but rather the name of Christ was
revealed to him personally and that is what he was ready to preach. Are you
looking for some power; in fact can you think of anything more effective
than the power of God? That name which is above every name, Jesus Christ,
will get you access to the throne of God and empower you to be the one
doing the treading and no longer being the doormat of the enemy. Your right
standing with God is revealed through Christ so that your faith no longer
has to be based on the wisdom of man, but now you can tap into a deeper
faith by the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:22-24 For the Jews
require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: (23) But we preach Christ
crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
(24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power
of God, and the wisdom of God. (KJV)
You know, that is the reason why God sent
His Son on our behalf, so that He would no longer have to see mankind
trapped and imprisoned in the realm of sin. God provided to us His power,
as well as His wisdom which is in Christ so that we could tap into a realm
where nothing is impossible to them that believe. You know people, you have
now entered a realm where all things are possible, where what in the past
was heartache and misery, no hope in a dark world, is now or should be now,
an ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’.
2 Timothy 1:7-10 For God hath not given
us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (8) Be
not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according
to the power of God; (9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy
calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and
grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (10) But
is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath
abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the
gospel: (KJV)
Have you looked at your policy lately,
you know, that Spiritual one that affects your eternal outcome? You
actually have access to the wisdom of God who drew up a plan and a policy
to cover you even before the foundation of the world, and yet you doubt Him
at times? That spirit of fear you have been entertaining did not come from
God, so why would you allow the enemy to be dumping that load in your
temple? Anything less than power, love, and a sound mind is a rip off, and
you need to get back to your prayer closet and re-read your rights and
authority that you have available in Christ and kick the garbage back out
where it belongs.
Colossians 1:11-13 Strengthened with all
might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering
with joyfulness; (12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us
meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (13) Who
hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into
the kingdom of his dear Son: (KJV)
There is a power source that God would
love to see His people plug into, and that Source is seated at His right
hand. Are you plugged into that Source so that you can allow the light of
the glorious gospel of Christ to shine through you, or is there a power
outage and you are in the dark? Power to the people!
