A True Faith
Romans 10:17-18 So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (18) But I say, Have they not
heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words
unto the ends of the world. (KJV)
First of all, it needs to be pointed out
that the word ‘cometh’ in verse 17 is an added word, and not a part of the
original text. The reason this is pointed out is because many have been
mislead into thinking that the more they hear the Word of God the more
faith they get. Faith is something that is developed, like a picture, the
more you hear the Lord for yourself in how to operate in His realm, the
clearer the picture becomes. Just like with developing pictures, it takes
time to allow them to develop and become clear so that you can see what is
taking place in that realm.
Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. (3) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to
every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every
man the measure of faith. (KJV)
God has dealt and made available to every
man the measure of faith. Kind of like a card game, God has dealt you a
winning hand, now it is up to you to pick up the cards and see what you
were given. Remember, God is no respecter of persons, that same measure of
faith that was given to Jesus Christ when He walked this planet is the same
measure you have access to as well. So it’s not like your waiting for more
faith to come, but rather you are seeking the Lord on a daily basis so that
you can see more and more of what He has dealt you concerning that measure
of faith; and so that you can see and understand how to operate effectively
in His realm. In other words, your outward man or way of looking at life is
perishing so that you can see more and more of what was given to you when
you accepted the Lord’s plan of salvation.
Proverbs 4:18-19 But the path of the just
is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (19)
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (KJV)
Do you see that picture developing more
and more for you, the picture perfect measure of faith becoming alive and
real to you personally? When you see that picture start to take shape and
develop you will start to see Christ in you, and the wonderful gift of life
He provided for His people. The more you allow the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ to shine through, the more it overcomes the darkness of
this present evil world so that you no longer have to stumble and fall for
the tricks and deceptions of the enemy.
2 Corinthians 4:3-5 But if our gospel be
hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (4) In whom the god of this world
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves
your servants for Jesus' sake. (KJV)
You know, there are a lot of people who get
taken in and blinded by the enemy, because rather than take the time to
hear the Lord for themselves and develop a strong relationship with Him,
they allow the enemy to distort the picture and paint a lie. Without a
vision the people perish, and so will you if you don’t take the time to
hear the Lord and know His voice. Again people, you are not waiting for
more faith to come your way, but rather you are seeing more and more of what
was given to you in the measure of faith that our Lord gave to any and all
that would call upon His name. The more you seek into the realm of the
Lord, the more you will see the picture of Christ in you develop and take
shape, becoming more of a reality to you personally.
Mark 13:5-6 And Jesus answering them
began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: (6) For many shall come
in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (KJV)
Obviously there are many that are not
hearing the truth for themselves, but rather are falling for a false
interpretation of who Christ really is, and how to develop a true
relationship with Him. Can you see for yourself who Christ is, or has your
vision and interpretation become distorted and not clear? Are you developing
a clear and precise picture of Christ based on truth, or will you be
presenting a false image which has not been developed to maturity?
