Enlightening Strikes Twice
Williams New Testament translation
of John 3:3-6
3. Jesus answered him, "I most
solemnly say to you, no one can ever see the kingdom of God, unless he is
born from above." 4. Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be
born when he is old? He cannot again enter his mother's womb and be born,
can he?" 5. Jesus answered, "I most solemnly say to you, no one
can ever get into the kingdom of God, unless he is born of water and the
Spirit. 6. Whatever is born of the
physical is physical, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spiritual.
In order to see there has to be light; so,
as we see stated above, it takes two enlightening strikes for this to take
place, a birth into the physical realm and then a rebirth into the Spiritual
realm in order to see and understand what is taking place. As you grew and
matured in the realm of the physical you learned to walk by those senses,
and found that it was much easier to walk in the light of day, rather than
in the darkness of night. Well spiritually the same premise holds true;
however, we now learn to walk in a new realm by a totally new set of
senses, that being our inward Spiritual ones.
Genesis 1:2-5 And the earth was without
form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit
of God moved upon the face of the waters. (3) And God said, Let there be
light: and there was light. (4) And God saw the light, that it was good:
and God divided the light from the darkness. (5) And God called the light
Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were
the first day. (KJV)
As we see in the beginning of creation
that God saw that this place that He called earth needed some enlightenment
so that mankind could see where he was going. As we see, God divided the
day from the night. Spiritually, as enlightened believers in Christ, we too
should be exercising our Spiritual senses so that we can know the
difference between what is light in the Lord, and what is leading us back
into the darkness and obscure realm of the enemy.
1Thessalonians 5:4-5 But ye, brethren,
are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (5) Ye
are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness. (KJV)
The day of the Lord is upon us now, for
now is the day of salvation. We need to learn to walk while it is day,
letting the light of the glorious gospel of Christ shine His light and lead
us on the path of life. Those that walk in darkness are not sure of where
they are going until they end up in a ditch with the other blind people who
have been misleading the blind.
1 John 1:5-7 This then is the message
which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in
him is no darkness at all. (6) If we say that we have fellowship with him,
and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (7) But if we walk in
the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (KJV)
Have you ever ventured out in a pitch
black night and tried walking to a destination? How about blindfolded? God
has enlightened mankind to a new realm located above so that we could walk
out and away from the darkness below. Is the path of life that our Lord
ordained for you to walk in seen clearly by you today, or have you been
blindsided and had your lights knocked out by the enemy? Enlightening needs
to strike twice if you are going to make it to your eternal destination,
and all those in Christ have a clear line of sight of where the Lord would
have them to be in His body of believers.
Psalms 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are
right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure,
enlightening the eyes. (KJV)
